WEAVER WINTER SPORTS TRYOUT DATES & TIMES

Hello Weaver Families,

Here are the upcoming tryout dates and times for the winter sports that Weaver MS offers.  Anything done before these dates needs to be an open gym/conditioning type of scenario and coaches will announce those via email that comes from Final Forms.  Please make sure both you and your student-athlete are looking at email for those announcements.  

• Basketball Cheer:
  •  Monday Oct. 6th – 4-7 PM in both gyms at WMS
  • Wednesday Oct. 8th – 4:30-7:30 PM in both gyms at WMS
  • Thursday Oct. 9th – 4:30-7:30 PM in both gyms at WMS

• Boys & Girls Basketball:
  • Tryout dates are set by OHSAA, not by Hilliard City Schools.
    • Friday Oct. 24th 
      • 7th & 8th Boys – 3-5 PM in both gyms
      • 7th & 8th Girls- 5:15-7:15 PM in both gyms
    • Sat. Oct. 25th
      • 7th & 8th Girls – 9-11 AM in both gyms
      • 7th & 8th Boys – 11:15-1:15 PM in both gyms
    • Mon. Oct. 27th 
      • 7th & 8th Boys – 3-5 PM in both gyms– team selection day
      • 7th & 8th Girls – 5:15-7:15 in both gyms– team selection day
        • Coaches- Girls – 7th = Christopher Laslo & 8th = Ashleigh Brown
        • Coaches- Boys – Flex = Griffin Guetle, 7th = Charles Boyd, &                          8th = Brenden Rutan & Jayden Humphrey
• Boys & Girls Wrestling:
  • There are no cuts for wrestling, so practice will start on Friday Oct. 31st from 3-5 in the Aux. Gym at WMS.  Please note that OHSAA has approved Girls Wrestling as an official sport and HCSD has approved for us to have a Girls Coaching contract at the HS and MS levels.  We are working on finding a girls coach right now.
