Weaver Ski & Board Club
Our fourth trip will be Thursday, February 14. Use Mr. B’s Mad River Checklist for pre and post trip procedures.
Trip 5: February 21
Trip 6: February 28
Students can have money “on their account” at Mad River which can be used for purchases in the Mad River cafeteria, and is accessed via your Mad River pass. Money can be added to the account in person at the Guest Services counter, or parents can call in (1-800-231-7669) with a credit card number.
Names in coats, helmets, etc. are a good idea! Also make sure your items like shoes, etc., are secured and you know exactly where to find them. The cubbies in the lodge are a good place to store your shoes and bags.
Each Club Card comes with 4 passes, and cost $10 or $20 per use depending on when you purchased your Club Card. Each value pass will get 1 person a lift ticket and equipment rental. Value passes can be used for you, family members or friends.
In general, if we have school and Mad River is open we will have Ski & Board Club. If school is closed for a snow day, or after school activities are cancelled, or Mad River is closed, we will not have Ski & Board Club and will schedule an additional week at the end of our originally scheduled 6 weeks.
Note on Mad River equipment rental
All Club Cards include equipment rental. You can choose ski or snowboard. You can change each week if you’d like. You can also change one time per visit, meaning you can start the day skiing and finish the day snowboarding.
All Club Cards, and Season Passes purchased through Ski & Board Club, include 5 lessons. While the main purpose is to have a good time, that is also ensured by being a good skier/boarder. The expectation of the club and of parents is that students take their lessons. The ideal time is the 5:30 session. Lessons last 1 hour. There is also a 7:00 session. Lessons are progressive, meaning they will advance in skills and technique each week.
Taking a student home “early”
If a parent needs to take a student home early from Mad River, please give as much advance notice as possible. Before a student leaves, personal contact needs to be made at Mad River between the parent and a Weaver chaperone.
