In today’s world, getting students ready for a balanced digital lifestyle is essential to success at work as well as in life. Students need to learn how to interact socially, personally, and educationally in both face-to-face and online environments.
Each week in February we will take a look at a different topic. You can go to the Digital Wellness page to see some activities that families could use at home around being healthy and safe in the digital world.
Last week Governor Mike DeWine and Lieutenant John Husted declared it Digital Wellness Week in the state of Ohio. The proclamation states, “In today’s world, it’s more important than ever that we successfully prepare our youth on how to interact socially, personally, and educationally in online environments.”
Digital Wellness Week is designed to encourage our students to make safe, healthy, and positive decisions in our technology-rich world. There are four focus areas; well-being, citizenship, etiquette, and safety.
