Recycling PSA Video

  • The 8th Grade Girls Basketball team improved its record to 2-0 last night defeating Brookpark MS.  Outstanding team defense by the Lady Cats held Brookpark to just 5 points in the game. Leading the scoring was Gwen Jenkins with 23 points, followed by Sydney White with 11, and Julie Dowell with 7. The Lady Cats will travel to Upper Arlington Hastings on Thursday. Good luck ladies!!
  • The 7th Grade Girls basketball team earned its first win last night against Brookpark Middle School 43-9. Sally Issa led the scoring with 9 points and Eliana Valle had 6. There were many athletes who provided scoring to help us to the big win. Next Game will be Thursday at Upper Arlington Hastings. GO CATS!
  • The 7th grade boys basketball team Won yesterday 42-13 over Brookpark. Great Job Cats!
  • The 8th grade boys basketball team beat Brookpark yesterday after taking and keeping an early lead. While the Cats showed some first game nerves, they controlled the tempo and came out victorious. Evan Ringger led with 10 pts and everyone contributed! Final score was 39-28.
  • 8th grade softball players who are not in a winter sport: If you are interested in softball workouts at Davidson, you need to stop by Coach Bell’s room (room 254) to pick up a schedule and sign up for REMIND. Workouts start Tuesday December 10 from 4:00-5:30.
  • Both Music Club and Newspaper Club will meet after school in the Media Center TOMORROW.  Very important that everyone attends!
  • The following 8th graders need to come during lunch to claim the books by Natalie Richards that they’ve won:  Kaden Markins, Jacob Roo, Omar Tarabishi, and Charles Kaufman.  Natalie visits Weaver next Wednesday, and will autograph any books you have — to be sure to bring them back on Wednesday of next week.
  • On Monday of next week, during all lunches, in the Media Center, will be a “Get Ready” meeting for any students who wish to participate in a Poetry Open Mic with Memorial students on next Friday the 13th.  Questions? Ask Mrs. Dorr.
  • Reminder to those participating in the Cookies and Crafts Holiday Art Workshop, We will meet THIS FRIDAY, December 6th and the Second Session will be next Friday, the 13th. Both sessions are immediately after school.  Please attend both sessions and meet in the art rooms.
  • 7th or 8th grade boys interested in playing baseball, come to the Wildcat Winter Baseball Camp. Come workout with high school players and high school coaches to get ready for the Spring baseball season. It will be held at Davidson High School on Saturday, December 14th from 9am- Noon.  Sign up soon, as the deadline is quickly approaching!  Any questions see Coach Swallie in Room 253, or pick up information at the stage during your lunch period.
  • December 18th – deadline for Mad River online registration! There’s still room, and still time to sign up! No experience is needed. Full details about the club are here bit.ly/wmssbc2020. Paper copies are in the WMS main office and outside Mr. B’s office room 210. Ski & Board Club begins the first Thursday we are back to school in January.
