8th Grade Girls’ Basketball

The 8th grade girls’ basketball team has continued their winning ways since

returning from break. Two weeks ago, they beat Dublin Karrer, 46 to 11. Top performers in that game were Celia Schulte- 13 points, Anna Wile- 11 points, and Abby Starr- 11 points. The girls also beat Worthington McCord two weeks ago. In that game, the girls put together a great second quarter, outscoring their opponent 19 to 1. 2 Addison Ruhe and Sophie Onderak were two of the top performers. Within the last 10 days, the girls have won against Heritage and Perry. In the Heritage game, a great defensive fourth quarter of only giving up two points helped them earn the win. While in the Perry game, Kayla Shields had two buzzer beaters at the end of the 2nd and 3rd quarters, and Gianna Campbell had her first two points of the season! This week, the girls play Hastings and Memorial. Good luck.

7th Grade Girls’ Basketball

The 7th grade girls basketball team beat Worthington Perry, 48 to 3 last week. The Cats play this Thursday at home against Memorial. Good luck Cats!

The Girls’ Flex Basketball team won an exciting game over Heritage last Saturday. Quinn Hoy, Janiya Smith, Hope Wanderi, and Brooke Gardner all led the Cats in multiple offensive categories. And the rest of the team moved the ball well and played great defense. Great job, Cats!
