Last week the girls tennis team wrapped up their season with back-to-back matches. On Monday we took on Dublin Davis with a modified lineup, challenging both teams with competitive play on all courts. Mischa Haworth won in straight sets at 2nd singles, as did the team of Bonnie Bowen and Lizzie Cramer at 1st doubles. Our final match of the season was at home against Dublin Karrer, where the cats swept Karrer on all courts in straight sets. But don’t let that fool you, the Weaver athletes had to earn those wins! Congratulations to all our athletes for a great season!

The Weaver gymnastics team finished up their season at the District Gymnastics Meet on Wednesday, October 5th.  Great performances were made by Alyssa Wheeler on beam and Emma Bly on bars and floor.  Great season girls!

1 Vivian Tangman led the team in the second set with her consistent serves, but the Cats lost.

2 The 8th graders finished the last set as it was their last game playing for Weaver.  The girls rallied late and won the match in the last set to bring their overall season record to 6 wins and 4 losses.  Throughout this season, the girls all worked and supported each other tremendously as a team, had a great time and made some lasting friendships along the way.

7th Football

1 The 7th grade football team defeated Dublin Karrer Wednesday night, 48-6.  The Cats finished their season strong, sweeping the Dublin schools and putting up at least 46 points in the last 3 wins.

Boys’ Soccer

1 The boys soccer team ended an amazing season with a 6-4-4 record after a grueling rematch in its first tournament game against Grandview.

2 The game ended in the second overtime after Grandview scored a “golden goal” which immediately ends the match. Shoutouts go to all 20 team members who became good friends and teammates during the season and contributed to the teams overall successful season.
