Tomorrow is National Ohio Day 

On November 2nd, National Ohio Day recognizes the 17th state to join the United States. Ohio of course, is known as the Buckeye State, the Mother of Modern Presidents, and the first state to enter the country from the Northwest Territory.  So go celebrate the greatest state in the union tomorrow, and be proud to live here!

Book Bingo

This quarter, Mrs. Fout will be hosting a reading challenge called Book Bingo. Reading challenges include reading a biography, reading the first book in a series, or reading a book set outside the U.S. Each time you complete a bingo square challenge, you earn a stamp.  There are two ways to get entered into a drawing for a prize – by completing a bingo on the card or getting any six squares stamped. The prizes are a $20 gift card to Cover to Cover book store, and two $10 gift cards to Half Priced Books. The reading challenge will finish at the end of the second quarter in mid December. If you’re interested, come pick up your bingo card in the Media Center today!

Hilliard Idol

Hilliard Bradley High School will once again be hosting Hilliard Idol. Auditions begin on Saturday, November 13th. The Finals take place on Saturday, November 20th. Scan the QR code that can be found on the flyers by the Media Center or across from Mr. DeChant’s room. This packet provides all the information, including the Entry Form that must be submitted. James and the Giant Peach Jr. Play

Weaver, Heritage, and Memorial have combined their talents to make the play, James and the Giant Peach Jr. This will be presented on Friday, November 12th at 7 PM and Saturday, November 13th at 2 PM and 7 PM. Tickets are $5 and can be purchased by scanning the QR Code that is on the flyers throughout school or by using the link found on the Wildcat News print edition on our WMS website. There will be no cash sales at the door, so please purchase your tickets in advance. All performances will take place at the Hilliard Station Performing Arts Center: 5600 Scioto Darby Rd.  Enter through Door D 15.

Weaver Wrestlers

Attention Weaver Wrestlers, practice that was supposed to start today will now start on Wednesday of this week immediately after school in the Aux. Gym. Practice will be from 3-5 Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. Please make sure you have your physical uploaded into Final Forms. Also make sure you choose wrestling as your sport for the winter season in Final Forms.

Today Begins the Month of November

Fun Fact About November is that November’s name has remained unchanged since the ancient Roman calendar. This first Roman calendar was only made up of ten months, with November being the ninth month.
