8th Graders Interested in Trying Out for the Davidson Cheerleading Team

Football Cheer tryouts for Davidson High School will be held at the Weaver Track on July 19th through 21st from 9 AM to noon. The Wildcat coaching staff will select and create teams based on good behavior, positive attitude, and work ethic during summer practices, camps, and conditioning as well as cheer tryout evaluations. Wrestlers That Will Be Freshmen Next Year at Davidson 

There will be a meeting TONIGHT, the 26th, for 8th graders interested in wrestling next year at Davidson. The meeting begins at 6:00pm.  This meeting is for wrestlers only and will be followed by a workout session that lasts until 8:00pm.

Current 7th Graders Taking 3 Or More Honors Classes Next Year

Students in 7th grade currently who are taking 3 or more Honors classes next year as 8th graders, there is a unique opportunity for you. WMS will be offering an Honors Focus Period for those who are signed up for 3 or more of the following classes: Honors Language Arts, Honors Science, Honors Social Studies, Geometry, Algebra, or a World Language. Students with questions or interest in signing up for this focus period need to stop by the Guidance Office ASAP.

WMS Football Camp

Coach Scally and the football staff invite all incoming Weaver 7th & 8th graders to the WMS Football Camp. The camp will be held from July 5th through 8th at Davidson Stadium.

Basic program terminology, concepts, and work on both offensive and defensive positions will take place. This is a great opportunity for players to be exposed to the high school program while also preparing for their own upcoming middle school season.  All campers will receive a Weaver Football Shirt. Cost is $40. To fill out the google form to register, scan the QR code below or find the flyer outside Mr. Baker’s room or above most water fountains. Staff Member Spotlight

These are Mr. Harnack’s final days of a wonderful, impactful teaching career. He will be retiring after Friday. Mr. H has taught 27 years at WMS, and 33 years overall! Thanks for your service to our community, Mr. Harnack! Enjoy your retirement!
