Weaver Summer Activities

Hello Weaver Families,

Welcome to the summer!  Please note, we are currently working on the website that the district completely redesigned.   The fall game schedules are posted for all sports except for golf, girls soccer, and gymnastics.   Golf is still working on their schedule, both boys & girls, girls soccer will not know until we have the open fields the last week of July, more to come on that as the summer moves along, if Weaver will have a stand alone team or if we will have a combined for the district as we have the last couple of years.  Gymnastics will get us their schedule once they have talked to the schools that are offering MS gymnastics.  Usually not until early August.  Also, please make sure you look for communication for all summer activities through Final Forms.  We had an athletic council on June 2nd and the incoming 7th graders will not be available for Parent Square communication until June 30th.  Coaches have been told to communicate via Final Forms, so please make sure your email is set to receive those emails from an outside source or check your spam folder daily.

All head coaches had a PD with the Athletic Dept. last night and assistant coaches are having their PD tonight.  The information that was shared last night will be shared tonight, as well as someone from the Coach Beyond program giving our assistant coaches some PD as well.  If you have any questions, please make sure you reach out to your coach at the MS level.

Also, all tryouts/practices are set to start on Aug. 1st, except for B/G Golf.  These dates are set by OHSAA and not Weaver or Davidson.  Please make sure you are available for tryouts as this is typically when fall sports start.   If you are out of town for any reason, please make sure you communicate with your coach.  See below for the fall coaching rosters.

Football Cheer– Stephanie Kozman & Cherie Painter- * cheer team, look under the football schedule to see your schedule

Football– Isiah Freeland (8th) & Ryan Walsh (7th)

Boys Soccer- Chris Laslo

Girls Soccer– Anne Jones * Coach Jones will be an assistant if we have a combined team like last year.

Girls Tennis– David Banyots

Girls Volleyball– Shane Farrell (8th), Jessica Sekelsky (7th), & Kelley Ross (Flex)

Golf– Ryan Counts (B) & Ericka Payne (G) * Coach Payne will be our head coach if numbers manifest, if not she will be an assistant for the combined team.
