The Ohio Educational Library Media Association (OELMA), Ohio’s professional association for K-12 school librarians, announced the recipients of the READ On, Ohio! Award for Children and Teens. The award celebrates avid readers nominated by school librarians.
OELMA is pleased to announce that Hannah Sadler, an 8th grade student at Hilliard Weaver Middle School, is the recipient of this award. In her nomination letter, school librarian Dr. Christina Dorr says that “Enthusiasm is an understatement when Hannah talks about books, authors, and writing. She’s a passionate person with books being a central part of her emotional and academic life. She’s now a second-year student in Books and Brownies Book Club, and is a front row audience member with plenty of questions whenever we have an author visit. Hannah is the first person to suggest a book to others and will promote it with zest!”
We want to congratulate Hannah and our staff at Weaver for cultivating a passion for reading among its students.
