Weaver Orchestra Staff

As Orchestra Director at Weaver Middle School and Assistant Director at Davidson High School, Ginny Faulkner is currently in her twenty seventh year of teaching orchestra in the Hilliard City Schools. She teaches grades six through twelve in three different schools in the district.  Previously she taught for three years in the Delaware City Schools.  She has served as the manager for the Columbus Symphony Cadet Orchestra and assistant director for the Columbus Children’s Community Orchestra.  In addition she has taught for the Worthington Chamber Music Connection and for the Suzuki Music center of Central Ohio. She has also been a director and counselor for the OOSTA Middle school Orchestra Camp.   She is past Secretary of OOSTA.  A violinist and pianist, Mrs. Faulkner has performed with the Central Ohio Symphony Orchestra and the West Virginia Symphony Orchestra. She has both her Bachelors and Masters degrees from The Ohio State University.  Mrs. Faulkner and her husband, Jim reside in Hilliard with their two children Josh and Emma and their lovable dogs, Archie and Jean.

Mark Sholl has been the  Music Coordinator for the Hilliard City Schools for the past eighteen years. He is also the conductor emeritus of the Davidson High School Orchestras.  His responsibilities include overseeing the music budget and staffing for 13 elementary schools, two 6th grade schools, three middle schools and three high schools. Mr. Sholl is also the past President of the Ohio Orchestra and String Teachers Association. He currently serves on the ProMusica Chamber Orchestra Board and is their Education Committee Chair. Mr. Sholl is the music director of the Columbus Symphony Cadet Orchestra, one of four levels of youth orchestras associated with the Columbus Symphony Orchestra. Prior to his tenure with the Hilliard Schools, Mr. Sholl was the Orchestra and Assistant Band Director at Grove City High School for six years, where he won the National Sallie Mae Teaching Award. Mr. Sholl has also conducted numerous ensembles at Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp in Michigan. He has studied at The Peabody Conservatory, The University of Michigan, where he received a Bachelor of Music, and The Ohio State University from which he received his Master of Arts and Doctoral Degree.

Ms. Bartholic is a Hilliard Davidson Alumni, and after Graduating from Bowling Green State University in 2007 with a degree in Music Education returned home to Hilliard to accept a position as the Tharp Orchestra Director. Miss Bartholic has served as the Operations Coordinator for the Columbus Symphony Cadet Orchestra, and maintains a private studio of string and piano students. Ms. Bartholic completed her Master of Arts degree in Music Education from The Ohio State University, and has studied violin with Dr. Penny Thompson-Kruse, Dr. Robert Gillespie, and double bass with Dr. Paul Robinson. Ms. Bartholic currently assists at Weaver Middle School and Davidson High School, and lives in Hilliard with her dog, Bella.
