Class Expectations

BEHAVIOR EXPECTATIONS

As an orchestra member, you are expected to:

• Be on time ready to play when class starts.
• Remain quiet when a teacher is instructing the group, even when not playing.
• Only play your instrument when asked.
• Show respect for your classmates –keep hands, feet and objects to yourself.
• Refrain from having food or drink in class (water is okay!)
• Take proper care of all school property – do not touch/play things that are not yours.
• Keep nails trimmed to ensure correct hand shape. Please do not wear fake nails! This will affect your ability to play!
• Take your instrument home DAILY.

Consequences

• Positive:
  • Verbal recognition
  • Positive phone call/email home
  • Stickers on sticker chart (students choose rewards)

•  Negative:
  • Verbal Warning
  • Cougar Card Punch
  • Call/email Home
  • Office Referral
