Ensembles

At Heritage, there are 3 main choirs. Sometimes portions of them are combined to make different groups as well.

7th Grade Choir: Made up of all 7th grade boys and girls interested in singing. Usually spread across 3 different classes with varying sizes. Boys and girls are taught together in the same class.

8th Grade Choir: Made up of all 8th grade boys and girls interested in singing. Usually spread across 2-3 classes with varying sizes. Boys and girls are taught together in the same class.

Advanced Choir: Comprised of 8th grade singers who went through an audition process in 7th grade and were selected for this group. They are mixed in with the 8th grade choir and don’t currently have separate rehearsal or class time. They perform the same music as the 8th grade in addition to music for their group.

Extra Groups

Men’s Ensemble: A combination of all 7th and 8th grade boys that come together after the first two 9 weeks. This gives the male voices some time to adjust to singing as a changing voice which is very difficult. They rehearse during lunch, after school, or at the end of normal class time.

Women’s Ensemble: A combination of all 7th and 8th grade girls that come together after the first two 9 weeks. They rehearse during lunch, after school, or at the end of normal class time.
