Performance Ensembles

The Concert Band Program at Hilliard Davidson High School

We are fortunate to have the support of the Hilliard City School district to provide between 200-250 band students with a high quality instrumental music education each year.  Students audition for band placements during the spring for the following school year’s enrollment.  The Hilliard Davidson Band Program has 4 performing ensembles and are as follows:

The Wind Symphony at Davidson High School is comprised of about 60 musicians from all grades.  This group attends OMEA Large Group competition in class AA and has a long history of Excellent and Superior ratings.  This group is conducted by Shawn Malone.

The Symphonic Band at Davidson High School is comprised of about 50 musicians from all grades. This group often attends OMEA Large Group Adjudicated Events in class B.  This ensemble is conducted by Shawn Malone.

The Concert Winds at Davidson High School is comprised of about 50 students from all grades.  This group attends OMEA Large Group Contest in class C and is conducted by Luke Shultz.

The Concert Band is a performance ensemble of 40 students and is comprised of students from all grades, but primarily Freshmen and Sophomores.  This group is conducted by Luke Shultz.
