Multiplication Week at Station

Last month Station celebrated “Multiplication Week.” Students were given a sticker every day to wear on their clothes with a multiplication problem on it and before they could talk to another person they had to tell them the answer to the multiplication fact that person was wearing. Every day students were given a new sticker to wear. Also, each day every class spent the first 10 minutes of class doing some sort of fun multiplication fact activity such as Around the World, I Have Who Has, MathPlayground.com, Multiplication.com, and Table Buzz with multiples. The entire week students had fun practicing their math facts. Providing students with the opportunity to experience learning in a fun setting puts them on a path to becoming life long learners.
