Students in 7th Grade Core Infusion were challenged to create and teach lessons for their peers. They worked through the Design cycle to empathize with the types of students their lesson would and would not benefit. They also learned to empathize with teachers about what takes place behind the scenes in planning instruction. They were then able to create meaningful activities to keep their peers engaged. The experience gives students valuable practice in leadership and public speaking and provides an opportunity for students to have fun and get to know each other even better! Baking, sketching, and experimenting with helium were just a few of the topics. Last Friday was the first group of students lessons and they were a hit!
