SENIOR INFORMATION FOR THE HILLIARD DAVIDSON HS CLASS OF 2026<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/h2>\n

Dear Families of the Class of 2026,<\/span><\/p>\n

It is hard to believe that we are already planning for the Class of 2026 to graduate! Perhaps the most exciting of all the year-end activities is the process leading up to and including graduation day. \u00a0The planning of these activities has already started, and the purpose of this letter is to share with you the details of these events. \u00a0This is a memorable time in a senior\u2019s life, and it is equally special for the families who have supported them every step of the way. \u00a0We want to make sure that you are included in the celebration!<\/span><\/p>\n

During the weeks ahead, there will be many opportunities to participate in senior activities. \u00a0These activities are being planned to provide time to reflect and celebrate. \u00a0We do expect seniors to take personal responsibility for their actions and adhere to school policies and procedures up to and through graduation day. \u00a0Your assistance in helping your son\/daughter meet timelines will be greatly appreciated. \u00a0We look forward to making this a special time for seniors, staff, and families.<\/span><\/p>\n

NAME PRONUNCIATION RECORDING<\/span><\/h3>\n

Located in your \u201cClass of 2026\u201d Canvas page, you will find an assignment titled \u201c<\/span>Graduation Pronunciation Recording<\/span>\u201d. Please take a minute to complete this assignment. Recording\u00a0<\/span>DUE BY APRIL 15th. NO LATE SUBMISSIONS.<\/span><\/p>\n

FINAL TRANSCRIPT REQUEST<\/span><\/h3>\n

Typically,\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0colleges, employers, agencies, etc. require that an official final transcript verifying graduation be sent directly from the high school. \u00a0Requests can be made \u00a0through\u00a0<\/span>SCHOOLINKS<\/a><\/span>. You may contact Miss Fant in the Student Support Office if you would like additional transcripts ($2.00 each).<\/span><\/p>\n

iPAD COLLECTION<\/span><\/h3>\n

Seniors must turn in their\u00a0<\/span>iPads, cables, and chargers<\/span>\u00a0during the school day. \u00a0Students must pay any fees for damaged or missing iPads and charging accessories. \u00a0Please encourage your students to pay attention to upcoming announcements about the collection process. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

If you use an Apple ID, the students will need to know their Apple IDs and passwords prior to turning in their iPads<\/span>. If you have any restriction passcodes on the devices, please remove them before turning in the devices. \u00a0If your student will be absent from May 11<\/span>th<\/span>\u00a0through 14<\/span>th<\/span>, please return the devices to the Media Center before the collection days.<\/span><\/p>\n

DEADLINE FOR OBLIGATIONS<\/span><\/h3>\n

Seniors are expected to turn in\u00a0<\/span>iPads, keycards, textbooks, pay all fines, clean out lockers and take care of any unfinished business<\/span>\u00a0by the conclusion of this day. \u00a0The main office can only take payments via cash, checks or money order. \u00a0No credit\/debit cards are accepted. \u00a0Students with outstanding fees are permitted to participate in the graduation ceremony, but will not receive their actual diploma until all fees are paid.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

SENIOR FAILURES<\/span><\/h3>\n

Prior to graduation our counselors will contact the parents of any senior who has failed to complete required coursework and\/or testing requirements and will not graduate. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Beginning May 25, 2026, parents and students can make appointments with a counselor to discuss future plans for graduation.<\/span><\/p>\n

This practice is<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>MANDATORY<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>for students who plan to participate in the graduation ceremony at the Jerome Schottenstein Center. We will begin promptly at\u00a0<\/span>8:45 a.m.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

NO tickets are required. \u00a0There is unlimited seating for families and guests. A live link will be available on the Davidson website for \u201cat home\u201d viewing the night of graduation.<\/span><\/p>\n

Discounted parking passes will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis beginning in May. \u00a0<\/span>Pre-purchase price TBD.<\/span>\u00a0Will also be available at the gate (Credit card only). Although participation in the commencement ceremony is optional, we encourage all members of the Class of 2026 to join us on this special day!<\/span><\/p>\n

Students who choose to participate are expected to observe the following guidelines:<\/span><\/p>\n

Students must wear the approved cap, gown, and Davidson, NHS or Tolles tassel (only one tassel permitted) during the ceremony.\u2014<\/span>NO DECORATED CAPS OR SOUVENIR TASSELS!<\/span><\/p>\n

Appropriate attire for the ceremony: dress shirt with tie, dress top or blouse, a dress, dress pants, dress socks and shoes (<\/span>flats or low heels recommended<\/span>)\u2014<\/span>NO FLIP FLOPS!!!<\/span><\/p>\n

EACH SENIOR IS RESPONSIBLE FOR KEYS AND PERSONAL ITEMS!\u00a0<\/span>We will not be able to store them during the ceremony. \u00a0<\/span>You will not have access to the ROTUNDA after the Graduation Ceremony is over<\/span>.<\/span>\u00a0 Small crossbody bags are permitted\u00a0<\/span>underneath<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>gowns.<\/span><\/p>\n

SENIOR National Honor Society Members<\/span>\u00a0will wear National Honor Stoles during the graduation ceremony. Stoles will be distributed at graduation practice in the Grad Practice envelope.<\/span><\/p>\n

Seniors who have earned the\u00a0<\/span>Honors Diploma<\/span>\u00a0will be given honors cords to wear at the ceremony. \u00a0These will be distributed at graduation practice in the Grad Practice envelope.<\/span><\/p>\n

GRADUATION PHOTOS<\/span><\/h3>\n

Midwest Sports<\/span>\u00a0will be at the Davidson graduation ceremony taking pictures of\u00a0<\/span>each and every<\/span>\u00a0student as he or she walks across the stage and receives a diploma on Friday, May 22nd. \u00a0You will be able to purchase the graduation photographs or a direct download, no advance ordering necessary<\/span>. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
