{"id":2479,"date":"2026-03-05T15:52:52","date_gmt":"2026-03-05T15:52:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/hcsd-dev.hboe.org\/hs\/?post_type=darby&#038;p=2479"},"modified":"2026-03-05T15:53:33","modified_gmt":"2026-03-05T15:53:33","slug":"drop-off-pick-up-instructions","status":"publish","type":"darby","link":"https:\/\/www.hilliardschools.org\/hs\/darby\/drop-off-pick-up-instructions\/","title":{"rendered":"Drop Off\/Pick Up Instructions"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><b>Hilliard Darby High School<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>Bus Drop Off and Pick-Up \/ Car Drop Off and Pick-Up \/ Student Drivers \/ Walkers \/ Bike Riders<\/b><\/p>\n<p><i>Morning \u2013 (Doors open at 7:00 am)<\/i><i>\u00a0<\/i><\/p>\n<p><b><i>Bus Riders:<\/i><\/b>\u00a0 Students will be dropped off in front of Leppert Rd. doors (B6 entrance).\u00a0 Students will come directly into the building.\u00a0 Busses usually drop off students between 7:05 \u2013 7:15 am.<\/p>\n<p><b><i>Car Riders:\u00a0\u00a0<\/i><\/b>Students will be dropped off at the Main Entrance doors (A1).\u00a0 Those that are dropping off students, you will enter off Leppert Rd. between Heritage M.S. and Darby H.S., You will loop around to the drop-off area at the Main Entrance and then exit onto Leppert Rd., where you entered.\u00a0 Students will come directly into the building.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><b><i>PLEASE DO NOT CUT THROUGH THE STAFF\/VISITOR PARKING LOT WITH YOUR CAR!<\/i><\/b>\u00a0 We have staff, visitors, and students walking through the parking lot to enter the building.\u00a0 Safety is our main priority!<\/li>\n<li><b><i>PLEASE DO NOT CUT THROUGH THE SERVICE ROAD BEHIND THE BUILDING!<\/i><\/b>\u00a0 The majority of our staff park behind the building.\u00a0 Last year, we had numerous cars speeding and cutting through this back service road and had numerous close encounters with staff almost getting hit.\u00a0 We would much rather you pull into the stadium lot and drop off your student rather than drive behind the building.\u00a0 It is not that far of a walk!<\/li>\n<li><b><i>PLEASE DO NOT DROP OFF YOUR STUDENT ALONG THE CURB IN FRONT OF THE LEPPERT RD. DOORS!\u00a0 This a reminder<\/i><\/b>\u00a0that we have buses constantly entering and leaving that area.\u00a0 Most importantly our student drivers and bus riders are walking into the building from the student parking lot area.\u00a0 Again, safety is our first priority, and the less traffic in those areas the better.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b><i>Student Drivers:<\/i><\/b>\u00a0 Students who drive will park in the student lot.\u00a0 Overflow parking can be accessed in the stadium lot.\u00a0 Students are\u00a0NOT\u00a0to park in the staff\/visitor lot between Heritage and Darby.\u00a0 Students are\u00a0NOT\u00a0to park behind the building.\u00a0 Student drivers will need a parking pass.<\/p>\n<p><b><i>Walkers:\u00a0\u00a0<\/i><\/b>Students who walk to school can either enter through the Main Entrance (A1) or Leppert Rd. (B6) doors, depending on which direction they are walking from.\u00a0 Please make sure to have conversations with your students about using crosswalks and sidewalks when walking around and near the school.\u00a0 PLEASE DO NOT WALK THROUGH A PARKING LOT FOR SAFETY!<\/p>\n<p><b><i>Bike Riders: For students<\/i><\/b>\u00a0who ride a bike to school, our bike racks are located on the Southeast end of the building.\u00a0 Please make sure to bring a lock for your bike!\u00a0 Please make sure to have conversations with your students about using crosswalks and sidewalks when riding their bikes around and near the building.\u00a0 PLEASE DO NOT RIDE THROUGH A PARKING LOT FOR SAFETY!<\/p>\n<p><i>Afternoon<\/i><\/p>\n<p><b><i>Bus Riders:<\/i><\/b>\u00a0 Students can exit the building from the nearest exit leading to the busses.\u00a0 The afternoon bus lineup will be on the service road between the Fieldhouse and Stadium.\u00a0 The school day ends at 2:32 p.m.\u00a0 The busses will leave at approximately 2:40 p.m.\u00a0 Students\u00a0<b>WILL GO DIRECTLY<\/b>\u00a0to their bus at the end of the day!\u00a0 Our buses have other routes to run and need to stay on schedule!<\/p>\n<p><b><i>Car Riders:\u00a0\u00a0<\/i><\/b>Students will be picked up at the Main Entrance doors (A1)\u2026 same doors where they were dropped off.\u00a0 If you are picking up a student(s), and you are one of the first cars to arrive, please pull up all the way to the stop sign so others can file in.\u00a0 Students should be exiting the building immediately after school to meet you at your car.<\/p>\n<p><b><i>ILC\/HUB Busses:\u00a0<\/i><\/b>\u00a0The ILC \/ HUB buses are two separate buses.\u00a0 If your student attends the ILC or HUB 1st\u00a0period\u2026those buses will be along the curb between the building and the student parking lot near the flag pole.\u00a0 These buses leave at 7:25 a.m. every day!\u00a0 This means if your student arrives from their normal bus at 7:15 a.m., they will immediately get on their bus to the ILC (bus #62) or HUB (bus #144).<\/p>\n<p><b><i>ALL OTHER<\/i><\/b>\u00a0busses departing or dropping off from the ILC or HUB will be along the curb at the Main Entrance (A1).<\/p>\n<p><b><i>Tolles Bus:\u00a0\u00a0<\/i><\/b>Students who ride the bus to Tolles in the morning, will ride bus #84\u2026it will depart at 7:50 a.m. from the curb between the Leppert Rd doors (B6) and the student lot.\u00a0 Students who will be attending Tolles in the afternoon ONLY will ride bus #17\u2026this bus will depart at 11:42 a.m. from the same spot.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"parent":0,"menu_order":0,"template":"","meta":[],"class_list":["post-2479","darby","type-darby","status-publish","hentry"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v27.3 -
