Horizon’s Historical Visit

students visiting historical school

Third grade Horizon students visited the Hilliard Historical Village. The village offers our students the opportunity to see how Hilliard has changed over the past 150 years. We visited a log cabin, a one room schoolhouse, a church, a museum and the original train station.

Third grade curriculum standards require students to explore how education, transportation, architecture, communication, recreation and services/businesses have changed through the years. Being able to experience these in real world activities creates a more authentic learning opportunity.
