To address school safety and give you another tool if you “See Something, Say Something,” the Hilliard School District has subscribed to an outside service called the Safe School Helpline that allows students and parents to anonymously report any safety concerns, like bullying, drugs, violence, etc. This service is available 24/6/365.  You may report your concerns using three different options.

  1. Call a toll free 800 number (800-418-6423, ext 359)
  2. Use the internet for reporting (www.safeschoolhelpline.com)
  3. Make a text report by entering 66746, then type TIPS

After your report is made, the school receives a copy of the report and determines the appropriate follow up.

The safe School Helpline includes access to a free mobile app for both Apple and Android phones.

In addition, to the Safe School Helpline can help students who are seeking assistance with any mental health issues for themselves or friends.  If you call the 800 number and press prompt # 3 you will be connected with a trained counselor who can assist you in coping with any suicidal thoughts, depression or feelings of loneliness.

A detailed explanation of how the Safe School Helpline works is available in a brochure that will be provided.  Additional information will be included on hallway and classroom posters in our school.  If you have any questions about the Safe School Helpline, feel free to talk to your teacher or a counselor.
