Attention students who were invited to apply for National Honor Society: You DO NOT need to ask teachers to fill out a recommendation this year. Sorry for any confusion. As a reminder though, your application is due today by 3:00 p.m.

GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS:

Today’s Hispanic Heritage Month trivia is that the signing of the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo in 1848 ended the Mexican-American War, which also enabled the annexation of Mexican territories including today’s Texas, New Mexico and California.

Thursday’s, and our last Hispanic Heritage Month trivia is that some of our famous journalists and writers that are Hispanic include Isabel Allende, Julia Alvarez, Sandra Cisneros, Geraldo Rivera and Gary Soto.

Seniors: It’s time to vote for Senior Selects! You can find the link to vote on Davidson’s website. Be sure to cast your votes before it’s too late. The deadline to vote is Friday, October 23rd.

SPORTS:

Anyone interested in Wrestling this year, there will be an informational meeting Monday for “A” group and Tuesday for “B” group in the commons after school.  Please let anyone who may be interested in wrestling know.
