If you are interested in being a member of HDV Student Council next year, the application is now available on the Davidson website, under the “clubs” section. Applications are due on Friday, April 5th. Please see Ms. Eliason or Ms. Mowery if you have any questions!
Video game club will be meeting in room 139 on Thursday, March 21st from 2:45-5pm. Consoles and games will be provided, but students are encouraged to bring their own controllers. We hope to see you there! If you have any questions, see Mr. Davis.
Join us for an Art Club meeting tomorrow (Thursday) in room 161 after school! We will be doing rock painting and new members are always welcome! The Cultural Food Club will be meeting after school tomorrow, Thursday March 21st in the global gourmet room. This month’s meeting will feature the cuisine of France, so if you are interested in attending or cooking something, feel free to stop by!
Do you have an old phone, iPod, tablet or other electronic device? Turn them in to the main office for Gorillas on the Line to help with gorilla conservation. For more information look around the school for the gorillas on the line posters.
Junior or seniors who speak more than one language are invited to register for the Seal Of Biliteracy test. This program gives bilingual students a recognition that notes your exceptional language skills and alerts employers and universities of your abilities. See Ms Williams in the registrar office to register. For further information, see Mrs. Braun in room 214.
Freshman and Sophomores interested in Traveling to Europe, there will be a WWII Trip to England and France Spring Break of 2021. A Mandatory Parent Meeting is Wednesday March 20th. Contact Mr. Miller in Rm 205 for more details.
Time is running out to order your 2019 yearbook. Friday, April 5th is the LAST day to order. Go to www.balfour.com to order before it’s too late!
Attendance note for this coming Friday! If you plan to leave school early on Friday March 22nd, please have your parent email or send in a note with you by the end of day on tomorrow, (Thursday). No early dismissal notes, emails or calls will be accepted on Friday.
Seniors- Check on Naviance for local scholarships! There are many available and the due dates are fast approaching.
Any girl interested in playing soccer next fall, please attend a parent & player meeting on Wednesday April 17th at 6:00 pm in the commons. The meeting should last approximately 30 minutes, where we will talk about the summer, preseason, and volunteer opportunities!
