GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS: 

 Black History Month fact of the day: Lincoln University in Pennsylvania is the first institution of higher education founded for African-Americans. It paved the way for the 104 other historically Black colleges, which have produced distinguished alums like Thurgood Marshall, Spike Lee, Oprah Winfrey, and Kamala Harris.

Do you speak Arabic, Russian or Chinese? Are you interested in being a camp counselor for a week this June for elementary and middle school students in Ohio? If so- consider applying to be a counselor at Camp OFLA. Email Mrs. Penzone at laura_penzone@hboe.org for more information ASAP- applications are due Feb. 28th.

Looking for a job? Rita’s Italian Ice is having open interviews on Wednesday, February 10th from 1:00 to 5:00. You must be 16 years of age. Interviews will be at 5254 Franklin Street.

All sophomores are welcome to attend a trip to Tolles Career & Technical Center on March 3rd. If you are interested in learning more about Tolles and taking a tour of some of their labs and facility, please be sure to fill out the google form you received in Canvas by this Friday, February 12th. See your School Counselor if you have any questions!

SPORTS:

If you are interested in playing Girls Soccer next fall, please sign up for our email distribution list on our website or see Coach Usner in Room 111.

There is a mandatory meeting for anyone who is interested in running track this spring on Tuesday February 16 for B group and February 17 for A group. Girls will be in the PAC immediately after school both days and Boys will be in the Cafeteria immediately after school.  If you are in season you are still expected to be at the meeting or make contact with Coach Beatty or Coach Aleshire before the meetings.
