Good Morning, Hilliard Davidson!  Today is Wednesday, December 1, 2021, and these are your morning announcements.

CLUBS:

The next Key Club meeting is December 6 after school in room 202. Please remember to follow us in our Canvas Page, and on Instagram to see opportunities for volunteering!  We had a great time making cards for Nationwide Children’s Hospital and doing a local cleanup. On December 5th we will be helping students make gingerbread houses– Join us by signing up online!

Ski Club – If you missed the opportunity to sign up for ski club, there is room on the Bradley bus! There are 14 spots available – but you must sign up by Thursday at midnight through mypayments plus. This bus will pick you up at Davidson and drop you off at Bradley. If you want to order a shirt – find Mrs. Traucht in room 121 to place the order in person. $12 for long sleeve $15.50 for Hoodie.

Student Council is selling holiday-themed Davidson crewnecks at lunch starting Thursday 12/2. Shirts are limited, so bring $20 CASH to purchase yours as soon as possible!

GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS: 

Attention sophomores and juniors! If you are an independent, curious, outstanding student and have a strong interest in research and a career related to zoos, animals, or science, then explore the very unique program that meets daily at the Columbus Zoo & Aquarium. For more information about zoo school through the Delaware Area Career Center or to get the application information, see Mrs. Polley in the School Counseling Office.

Seniors: This is the LAST week to turn in your senior picture. Pictures are due for submission by this Friday, December 3rd. The link to submit is available on Davidson’s website on as well as on the Senior Canvas page.

Thanks to the third period classes who brought in food yesterday for our food drive. Looks like Mr. Reese’s math class wants the doughnut party and rights to the SOUPER WILDCANS trophy. Only three days left, make them count and HELP US HELP OUR OWN.

Tim Hortons on Lyman Drive in Hilliard is hiring for evenings and weekends. They offer very flexible scheduling and no late nights. For more information, see the job board by the School Counseling Office.

The Life Skills Class will be selling brownies this Friday, December 3rd. Bring 50 cents to purchase a brownie during lunch.

Seniors: There is a scholarship available from Dot’s Tots Foundation. Please see Naviance for the application and details. This scholarship is specifically to provide support to families providing foster care, children with debilitating disease, injury, and/or illness, and students in their higher educational pursuits. Deadline to apply is 12/28/21.

SPORTS:

Varsity Bowling team had big win over Hamilton Local last night. Varsity girls and the JV boys team had a strong showing for their first match​
