Good Morning, Hilliard Davidson!  Today is Tuesday, September 24, 2019, and these are your morning announcements.

For students who want to sign up for games and the dance off at the pep rally, there is a link on the student council Twitter and a QR code in the main office. There will be prizes for all participants and the winners of the dance off will get free tickets to homecoming!

Spanish club will have its first meeting on TODAY after school until 3:30 in room 212. We will get to know each other, have a trivia game, and do some dancing. We will have aguas frescas to sample and authentic Mexican candy. Bring 5.00 to the meeting for membership dues!

Come learn to play some fun board games. Your first event is free, and our first meeting is this Wednesday from 2:45 to 4:15 in room 228. Sign-up sheets can be found in the attendance office or can be picked up at our first event. Any questions, see Mr. Kuch or Mr. George.

GSA is hosting a gathering for all three high schools TODAY after school in room 254. We will make signs and posters supporting the allies of the LGBTQ community. Bring a sweet or salty snack and enjoy the fun!

Ski and Board Club- there will be an informational meeting on Wed, Sept 25th at 7 pm in room 202. Registration info will be available then. Colorado Mountain Sports will be at the meeting for raffles and discounts on gear. If you can’t make the meeting, info will be available Sept 26th in rooms 212 and 203.


Happy Hope Week day 2! Don’t forget to stop by the Hope Squad table today during your lunch and create some positivity Post-Its that will be displayed around the Commons. Tomorrow, feel free to stop by and write a greeting card for someone that you care about! Have a great day, Cats!

Hope Week Self-Care Tip Tuesday: Declutter something that has been piling up. Clean out your locker, your closet at home, or your bedroom! Decluttering your life can help improve your mental health!

Subscriptions are only 5 dollars. Look for posters around the school to sign up. Individual copies are also for sale in the school store for 2 dollars cash. Attention Seniors: Jostens will be here Friday, September 27th during lunch periods to collect senior graduation orders including cap & gown and announcement packages… Please remember to bring in your completed order form as well as your payment.  Any senior who orders a Jostens class ring or Wildcat package will receive your cap & gown unit FREE!  Call 1-800-JOSTENS with questions.

This is the last week to sign up for the October 16th administration of the PSAT! This test is highly recommended for college bound sophomores and all juniors. Every junior at Davidson High School will be taking the SAT this spring and the PSAT is an excellent way to prepare for that test. The $23 exam fee can be paid via My Payments Plus or cash or check can be brought to Ms. Williams in the Registrar’s Office. Monday, September 30th is the final day to register for this test. Do not wait – register today! See Mr. Anderson with any questions.

The payment period for AP exam registration is now open! In order to register for an AP exam, two actions must take place: You must ensure that your myap.collegeboard.org account indicates that “yes”, you are taking the exam, and you must pay the $94 exam fee per exam via My Payments Plus or by bringing in a check to Ms. Williams in the Registrar’s office. The payment period will last until November 1, but please register and pay as soon as possible! See Mr. Anderson with any questions.

There will be a West Point Admissions Officer in the Columbus area on Saturday, October 19th. If you are interested in attending a presentation on the West Point application process and what life is like for a cadet please see Mrs. Mongolier in the Guidance Office for more information.

On Wednesday the following colleges will be here: Baldwin Wallace, Heidelberg, Valparasio and Otterbein. Sign up in Naviance so you can receive a pass to visit one of these awesome colleges.

Second round of homecoming court voting is live! Closing ends tomorrow at 5 pm. The voting link can be found on Davidson’s website.

Homecoming tickets are now on sale! Head to the student council twitter page or locallevelevents.com to purchase yours now. Students are $20 a ticket, and guests are $25. If you’re bringing a guest, you must complete and return a guest form to the main office by next Thursday, October 3rd.


Powder Puff Players- practice schedules were sent out this past weekend to the email address provided when you signed up. Please check your email for dates and info!

Presale Varsity Football tickets are available for the game on Friday, September 27th at Tiger Stadium at their on-line box office. Tickets can be purchased online up to kickoff on the day of the game. You can get the detailed information by going to the Davidson Athletic Web-Site at:
