GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS:

Today’s Hispanic Heritage Month trivia is that the term Hispanic or Latino, as defined by the U.S. Census Bureau, refers to Puerto Rican, South or Central American, or other Spanish culture or origin regardless of race.

Seniors: It’s time to start submitting your senior pictures! Senior picture submissions are due no later than December 4, 2020. Please note: We are only accepting online submissions this year. No exceptions will be made. Please make sure your picture is vertical, in color, waist up, and does not include any objects. Submit your senior photo to the following link:

Juniors! It’s your turn today to buy your tickets for Movie Night at Huntington Park on October 4th, starring Knives Out. The link was sent to your Class of 2022 Canvas page. Hope to see you all there!

ATTENTION WILDCATS! The first round of Homecoming Court voting is now open! Head to Davidson’s website to cast your vote today! It’s the last day!

September 28th is the deadline for any junior to register for the PSAT. The $23 registration fee can be made in My Payments Plus or cash or check can be brought to Ms. Dennis in the School Counseling Office. See Mr. Anderson with any questions.

Attention all AP students: the payment window to pay for AP exams is now open and will stay open through Friday, October 30th. You must pay the $95 exam fee per exam in order to have an exam ordered for you. Payments can be made via My Payments Plus or cash or check can be given to Mrs. Dennis in the School Counseling Office. See Mr. Anderson with any questions.

Junior and Seniors – many colleges have signed up to do virtual visits and there are many time slots, including evenings. Tomorrow is Ohio University and Kent State. Wednesday is Mount Vernon Nazarene University, Thursday is Youngstown and Findlay and on Friday we have Vanderbilt. Bowling Green, Otterbein, Kenyon, Miami, Columbus State and Ohio Wesleyan will be here in the next few weeks. Check out Naviance to see who else is doing a visit.

Jostens will be at Davidson on October 1st and 2nd. They will meet with Sophomores in the Main Gym during 2nd period and Seniors during 3rd period. Jostens will return on October 5th and 8th.

Students: interested in finding out more about the clubs that we offer here at Davidson and getting involved? Come to the Club Fair on Wednesday and Thursday of this week in the gymnasium during your lunch to browse, get answers to your questions, and even join a club or two!

SPORTS:

This Saturday, Sept. 26th, our Athletic Boosters will be doing a Spirit Day fundraiser at Pulp! Stop by Pulp anytime between 9am & 9pm Saturday to benefit all of our sports teams! Just mention the Athletic Boosters when you order.
