Good Morning, Hilliard Davidson!  Today is Tuesday, October 26, 2021, and these are your morning announcements.

CLUBS:

The first meeting of the year for Future Medical Career Club is TODAY right after school until 3:30pm in room 232. Our first speaker will be an EMT/Paramedic who has also been a flight medic. Any questions, please see Mrs. Lucas

Ski Club- payments for Mad River Bus fare start on Monday, Oct. 25th. Payments will be on My Payments Plus. For Ski Club information- Scan the QR codes on the flyers on the blue school bulletin boards or outside Room 212 or Room 121.

Do you enjoy discussing local, national, and global issues? If so, then the Davidson Speech and Debate Club is for you! Our topic for this Tuesday is: should steroids be allowed for competing in the Olympics? Join us after school Tuesdays in room 202 to join the debate!

Interact Club is partnering with The Hilliard Food Pantry to collect gently used or new books from October 26 until November 5th. Drop off books for any age range in the boxes in room 232, 239 and the main office. If you are in interact club please write your name (on a sticky note) on the books you donated. See Mrs. Lucas for questions.

GSA meeting- Thursday, October 28, after school, in room 254 until 3:15.

GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS: 

Wildcats, It’s time to show off your talents at the Variety Show! Student council is accepting auditions for anyone who is interested. Please email Miss Longuauer @Emma_Longauer@hboe.org to turn in the audition tapes or if you have any questions. Auditions are due by November 2nd. No exceptions will be made past this due date. Go Cats!

The 2021 American Legion Americanism and Government Test will be held Thursday, November 4th during 3rd period. Test your knowledge of flag etiquette, American history, and national, state and local government and compete for prizes! See your “Class of…” Canvas page for the link to sign up and study materials, or ask a Social Studies teacher, counselor, or principal for more information!

SPORTS:

For any boys interested in playing basketball this year, tryouts will begin Friday, October 29th after school. If you plan on trying out for the boys basketball team, please see Coach Congrove and make sure that you are signed up for basketball on Final Forms. You can connect with Coach Congrove during every lunch period in the main gym, via email, or stop into his office (Room #31 by the field house entrance doors).
