Interested in joining The Yearbook or The Wildcat Newsmagazine staff? Applications for 2020/2021 staff are available in room 244, 240, or under the student tab on the Davidson website. Remember, your application is due no later than January 31st. See Ms. Canlas or Mrs. Burke with any questions.

Art Club will hold its next meeting after school on Thursday in Room 161. New members are welcome!

Chinese Club is meeting this Friday the 24th after school to celebrate the New Year. We will meet in room 121 to make dumplings and paint fans. Hope to see you all there!

Want to ride a mechanical bull and eat some free food? Then you don’t want to miss “Wild West Winter” right after the basketball game on Friday Jan. 24th. The event is FREE to all Davidson students that attend the game. You must present your student ID at the door. and have the waiver signed by a parent if you want to ride the bull. Mechanical Bull not your thing,? Don’t worry, we will have a dance floor and a corn hole tournament for your enjoyment. This is an event you won’t want to miss!

Thursday’s theme for Spirit Week is “Going Skiing Day”

Attention students! Would you like to learn more about over 200 colleges nationwide by speaking directly with admissions representatives about their programs and campuses? Seniors- would you like to meet with financial aid specialists to help you understand FAFSA and your college financial award letters? If so, you need to attend the NACAC National College Fair at the Columbus Convention Center on Sunday, February 9th from 1-4 p.m. Register at gotomyncf.com .

Attention current juniors and seniors. The Summer Leadership and Character Development Academy is a week-long immersive experience aboard Marine Corps Base Quantico. Throughout the week, the academy introduces you to the Marine Corps mission, core values, military culture and leadership principles. Dates are June 15th through June 20th. Applications are due by January 31st. If you are interested, see Mrs. Mongolier in the Guidance Office.

The In-School performance of The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time will take place during periods 6-8 on Thursday. Juniors and Seniors should have already received your ticket from your English teacher. Can’t make the in-school? Performances will continue Friday and Saturday night at 7pm. Yes, you can see the show and still attend the winter social! Student tickets are only $5 for the evening shows. See you there!

Wildcats we need your help! Starting Monday we’ll be having a coat drive for 3 weeks where you can donate any new or lightly worn coats. All donations will be going to One Warm Coat to help those in need. You can drop your coats off in the main office where our collecting bin is located. Many clubs are working together on this, so definitely ask your leaders for more information about it!
