Good Morning, Hilliard Davidson!   Today is Thursday, February 14, 2019, and these are your morning announcements.

CLUBS:

Chinese Club will meet today in room 121 until 4:00. We will make paper lanterns and Chinese dumplings. Everyone taking Chinese is welcome. See you then!

Those interested in knitting club meet Thursday in 221. During Davidson U, we will join in rm 111 with Ms Hummel’s crochet group if you want to knit.

There is an Art Club meeting this Thursday after school in room 161!

GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS:

Is the ACT stressing you out? Here are a few ACT test taking tips to help you improve your score.

  1. Sleep well the night before
  2. Eat breakfast the day of your test
  3. Skip difficult answers
  4. Wear something comfortable
  5. Utilize your breaks. Remember you get two breaks.
  6. After your test, do something fun or relaxing.

Attention: Any student that plans to play in the 3v3 basketball tournament during Davidson U. Please remember to only sign up on ONE team. If you sign up for more than one, one of those teams will be removed from the list. We only have a few slots left, so sign up today.

We are down to our last 2 days of the My Comfy Kits drive in your 3rd period classes. If you have not done so already, please consider donating to this amazing cause helping foster children in Central Ohio. It only takes a small contribution to make a huge difference. Talk to your 3rd period teachers for more info!

Do you have an old cell phone, iPod, tablet or other electronic device? Turn them in to the main office for “Gorillas On the Line” to help with Gorilla Conservation. For more information look around the school for the Gorillas on the Line posters.

SPORTS

Attention… Track will begin on Monday, March 4. Any female who is interested in participating in Girls track needs to in the WR immediately after school. If you are currently not involved in a Winter sport it is highly recommended that you are attending lifting / conditioning on Mon Tues Wed Thurs after school. If you have any concerns please see Coach Beatty in rm 204.
