WILDCATS! Do you want to be a leader at Davidson? Have your voice heard? Be a part of planning school-wide events like Homecoming and Prom? If so, apply to be a member of Davidson’s Student Council this year! The application is now available on the Davidson website under Student Info and Activities. Applications and teacher recommendations are due by Friday, March 26th. Please see Ms. Mowery or Mrs. Palus if you have any questions!

Attention Sophomores and Juniors: Freshman Focus is back for next school year and we need leaders for camp and for the 2021-2022 school year. Join us for an informational meeting before or after school in room 202 April 8th, 9th, or 12th to learn more about the application process. You only have to attend one meeting. Questions, please see Ms. Cooper in room 207 or Mr. Assenheimer.

GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS:

Attention students: the scheduling window will close on Friday March 26th at midnight. All requests must be in by that time. All scheduling worksheets will need to be returned to the guidance office by Friday as well. If you have scheduling questions, please make time to see your counselor.

Mosaic, a half-day humanities program for intellectually curious and creative juniors and seniors is beginning enrollment for next school year. This program is for students who are independent, original thinkers, interested in the arts and creative expression, motivated by “real life” learning experiences and committed to having a voice and making a difference. There is an information meeting on Thursday, March 25th at noon in the media center. Please see Mr. Foster for more details.

Seniors: There are several scholarships that have deadlines during spring break, however, the George L. Harper Memorial Scholarship, the Diana Evans Vance Theatre Scholarship, and the George Lewis Thespian Scholarship applications will be accepted through Monday, April 5th, by 2:30 p.m.

Wildcat family, Friday’s Hope Week theme has officially been changed to AJ Day to recognize one of our very own students, AJ Glover, who is currently hospitalized. Please plan on wearing blue and white and any other school spirit items you want on Friday, as AJ is a HUGE Wildcats fan!

SPORTS:

Davidson Boys Golf will be having an informational zoom meeting for those not participating in a spring sport today in regards to spring workouts/practice rounds. Please email/contact Coach Miller in room 205 if you have any questions.

A reminder to all Senior Winter athletes. The senior banners are ready for you to pick
