The Cultural Food Club will be having another meeting today after school in the Global Gourmet room. We are having festive holiday treats, so come on by to get in the spirit of the season. The meeting will last until about 3: 45.

Board game club is having their next meeting Thursday December 19th from 11 to 330 in room 139. Playing games is free all year, and yes, it starts during the 5th period exam time. Bring games, friends and food if you want.

GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS:

Attention College Jump start students! As soon as you complete your final exam(s) PLEASE return your textbook(s) to the media center. You will not receive 2nd semester textbooks until your College Jump start textbooks are returned. Textbooks for 2nd semester will be checked out beginning Jan. 6, 2020.

Seniors: Please check the “Did not turn in Senior Picture” list across from the main office or outside of room 240 to be sure your photo was received. Even if you turned in a picture, you need to check this list! A few flash drives and CDs were turned in without a name or photo, so it is important to check this list. See Sally Sell or Mrs. Burke with any questions.

Attention students! If you need eyeglasses, but do not have the finances or insurance to cover the exam and glasses, there is an organization offering these for free. Please see your counselor right away to learn more.

Attention Seniors: The deadline to order your cap and gown at a discounted price ends tomorrow. You can order online at jostens.com or call 1-800-567-8367.

Seniors: It’s not too late to turn in your senior photo by flash drive, CD, or hard copy. The late deadline is Wednesday, January 8th. No senior pictures will be accepted after January 8th.

Wildcats, what a way to end our school food drive. We have never had so much food donated since we have been doing this drive. We have had more than 6,500 cans, boxes, bags and bottles of food donated and is more than double what we did last year! This is such a kind, generous and giving act, to help others who are in need. Not only will this food help families in our building but in a few of our other buildings and the Hilliard Food Pantry and that should make you feel really good about yourself. The top classes were very close and we will reveal those tomorrow. Thank you for making this food drive a huge success.

SPORTS:

Five on Five Intramurals: Five-on-Five Intramurals will start in January, but now is the time to sign up. Get your team together, choose a captain, and get the Five-on-Five team forms from Mrs. Williams in Room 177. The team captain should collect the completed forms and money from the team players–$5 per person—and turn in the entire packet to Mrs. Williams. Only 16 teams will play, so get your team together ASAP. The registration deadline is Monday, December 16, at 12 Noon. No exceptions.

Football Players… Anyone interested in playing football, lifting begins this Thursday and Friday at 6am in the field house. Be on time, dressed and ready to go.
