Have we achieved gender equality? Which is better, big government or small government? Who would REALLY win, Godzilla or King Kong? Do you enjoy discussing these and other issues of our time? If so, then the Davidson Speech and Debate Club is for you! The Debate Club has resumed meeting in person, so join us after school on Monday, April 12th in room 219 to join the debate!

Don’t miss Davidson Theatre’s performance of the awesome new Disney musical – Freaky Friday – streaming Friday-Sunday, April 16-18. Tickets to the stream are available at hilliarddavidsontheatre.com.

With Davidson High School being a Purple Star School, we will be celebrating Ohio Military Family Spirit Week next week by wearing the following… This will also support our seniors who have already enlisted in the Armed Services. You can share your pictures on your social media platform using #PurpleUpOhio and #InThistogether

April 14 – Camouflage a.k.a “Digi” Day
April 15 – Statewide Purple Up! Day
April 16 – R.E.D. (Remember Everyone Deployed) Friday – Wear Red!

Attention Seniors: We will be taking the Class of 2021 Photo in the stadium at 11 AM on Thursday, April 15. Please wear blue or white for this event. We will also be making a class banner in the area between the field house and the stadium. Plan to attend these senior events.

Seniors: Please check Naviance for another late-breaking scholarship opportunity! This is for the John W. Bandow Leadership Award. Applications are due in the Guidance Office by 3:00 p.m., Monday, April 19th.

Tonight marks the beginning of the Muslim holy month of Ramadan. Muslims across the world will begin observing tonight and fast from dawn till sunset starting tomorrow. The Muslim Student Association at Davidson would like to wish all those observing the month of Ramadan a healthy and blessed start. Happy fasting!

Student council’s t-shirt design contest is now completed and t shirts are ready for orders! You can order them now from the QR code found on the student council bulletin board or from flyers you can find at your lunch table. The sale ends on Sunday, April 18th.

Come out and support the AJ Glover Foundation by eating at Beef O Brady’s at 6340 Scioto Darby Rd on tonight and Tuesday April 13th from 5-9 pm. 25% of dine in, carry out and online ordering will be donated to the Glover family.

If you ordered a cap & gown or any Jostens’ items, and were not able to pick up them up on Tuesday, please stop in the main office.

Seniors and Juniors, it’s time for Prom! Prom will be held at the Columbus Zoo on Saturday, May 8th from 6-9 pm, followed by After Prom at Dave and Busters from 10 pm – midnight. Prom tickets will be $65 and include a ticket to After Prom. This year, there will be 350 tickets available for purchase. Seniors will have first priority with ticket sales beginning TODAY after school– the link will be sent out through your class canvas at 2:30. Junior ticket sales will begin on Monday, April 19th. All students are limited to 2 prom tickets and will need to use their student ID to purchase through local level. All non-Davidson guests must complete a guest form and submit to Mr. Assenheimer by Monday, April 26th. Please see Ms. Mowery or Mrs. Palus if you have any questions!
