It’s time once again to join the student leadership group, E Pluribus Unum, Out of Many, One. In this opportunity, students have the opportunity to examine concepts of identity, empathy, and advocacy, as well as consider the positive power of inclusion so that everyone has a place and a voice at the table. Please consider participating in this opportunity as we reflect, dialogue and make changes for our school, community and ourselves. Your voice matters so why not “be the change”?! Hard copies of the invitation letter and permission slip are available in the Main Office. Permission slips are due back by October 1.

The Davidson Enviro Club has a new composting program for lunch trays! Please dispose of any food waste in the garbage before stacking the paper tray (and ONLY the tray) on one of the four blue tables in the commons or upper gym for composting. Thank you!

Join Spanish Club for our first meeting of the year on Tuesday, September 14 in room 214. Everyone is welcome!

It’s time to sign up for Davidson Broadway Club! If you like musicals, this club is for you. Shows this year include Hades Town, Fiddler on the Roof, Cats, Pretty Woman, Come from Away, Wicked, and Hamilton! Tickets are usually $35-$55 per show. Email Mrs. Traucht at or stop in room 121 to sign up!

Student key cards have arrived! If you have a late in, extended lunch, or attend the Hub or ILC, please stop by the tables in the Commons on Monday or Tuesday during the lunch periods to pick yours up!

Attention College-Bound Juniors
The PSAT test will be administered at each high school on Wednesday, October 13th from 7:40-11:00am. This is a great opportunity for you to practice for the SAT (which all juniors will take for free at in the spring) and provides an opportunity for juniors to qualify for the National Merit Scholarship Competition. The cost is $24 and registration is open September 6th through the 24th. Sign up and pay through MyPaymentsPlus.
Please reach out to your counselor if you have any questions.

Attention new NHS Applicants: Potential candidates MUST bring the completed community service form to Room 166 no later than Tuesday September 14th at 7:15 am. If you have questions see Mrs. Rader or Mrs. Strawser.

There are 2 US flags down in the main office that teachers are able to sign. One will be left at the Hilliard Memorial downtown Hilliard, and the other flag will go down to the New York World Trade Center memorial.

Today is World Suicide Prevention Day. Did you know that 1 in every 100 deaths worldwide is the result of suicide? As a community member, friend, peer, or neighbor, we can all make a difference in supporting someone at their darkest moments. By raising awareness, reducing the stigma around suicide, and encouraging well-informed action, we can help save lives.
