CLUBS

Currently sophomores and juniors interested in applying for Renaissance for next school year: applications are available in the main office and are due this Friday, May 24. Pick one up ASAP if interested.

If you filled out an application to be a New Student Mentor for next year the list of who has been accepted will be posted on the guidance window fifth period. You must go into the Guidance Office to get the information to sign up on REMIND and sign up on REMIND must be done by Tuesday at noon. Leaders will be notified through REMIND and expect a quick one hour training, to be announced soon. Congratulations, all of the applications were excellent!

GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS

SON Ministries Summer Lunch Camp will be starting soon and they are seeking teen volunteers to act as positive role models while playing and building relationships with the children. You will support the staff with camp operations including camp set up, clean up and running camp activities. You will receive a letter of recommendation which can be used for different service clubs, college and employment applications. This is a great opportunity. Don’t miss out. More information is in the Guidance Office.

We are looking for current juniors who will be the first in their family to attend a 4-year college/university. Mr. Woodford is hosting a 1st Generation College Student event on June 5. If interested, please see Mr. Woodford in the guidance office.

If you are looking for a summer job, don’t forget to check out the job board outside of the Guidance Office.

If you are interested in being a patient care assistant, please stop in guidance for more information.

Anyone looking for a really awesome job? Scene 75 Entertainment Center is opening up in the old MACY’S at Tuttle Mall and they are looking for bubbly, not shy, happy people. It is the largest indoor entertainment center in the United States with go-karts, drop tower, bumper cars, indoor roller coaster, laser tag and so much more. More information is available in the guidance office.

If you are taking AP or KAP Physics next year, there is a summer assignment. Please pick up a sheet describing the summer assignment on the wall next to the door to room 222. If you have any questions email Mr. Herring.
