CLUBS:

Are you interested in photography? Writing? Sales? Consider applying for the 2019-2020 Yearbook or Wildcat staff. Applications are available in rooms 240 and 242 as well as in the Main Office. Applications are due January 30th.

If you are interested in learning how to knit or crochet, Ms. Moss will be teaching after school in room 221. Your first project can be to make a scarf or a lap blanket. Its a fun skill ! If you are interested, see Ms Moss— Introductory meeting directly after school on Thursday, Jan 24 in rm 221.

The Cultural Awareness Club is holding their first meeting of 2019 Monday Jan 14th after school in Rm 202. We will start at 2:45 and discuss the planning of our 3rd quarter event! All are welcome!

Spanish Club with meet Thursday January 17th for popcorn and a movie from 2:40- 4:30 in room 206. New members are welcome. Bring your $5 dues.

GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS:

Attention all students enrolled in an AP course: AP Exam registration will begin on Monday, January, 14th and run through Thursday, February 14th. You will receive a bulletin from your AP teacher issued by the College Board – please read this carefully. Please stop down and see Ms. Williams in the Registrar’s office to pick up an exam registration form. Please register as soon as possible! If you have any questions, please see Mr. Anderson.

Students, if you are interested in leading a session during this year’s Davidson U, applications are available for pick up in the main office. Student lead sessions are limited and will be considered on a first come, first severed basis. All applications are due to the main office no later thatn 4:00pm on Friday, January 25th.

Wildcats! This next week is the week of Davidson’s Winter Formal, “In the Snowglobe” Here are the spirit week themes for each day: Monday is PJ Day, Tuesday is class Colors -Seniors and Freshmen wear blue, Juniors and Sophomores wear White. Wednesday is Wacky Wednesday and Thursday is safari day, ending with Flannel Friday. Also, stay tuned to the announcements, as we will be giving out free tickets to the dance!  The dance is Saturday, Jan. 19th from 8 to 10 pm. Tickets can be purchased at https://www.locallevelevents.com/events/details/6134  until 4 pm on the 19th. The Dance will be held in the Davidson commons.

Attention Cats– representatives from the Innovation Campus will be at school on Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday the 14th/15th/16th to share our course options for next year. Look for their table in the cafeteria during lunch and ask questions as you have them!

Want to spend part of your Summer in Greece? We are taking a school trip to Greece in the summer of 2020. All current freshmen, sophomores, and juniors are eligible to attend. For more information, see Mr. George and have your parents come to the first trip meeting Thursday January 17th at 6:30pm in room 202.
