Top Honors for Darby Art Students!
The Ohio Governor’s Youth Art Exhibition, now in its fiftieth year, is dedicated to the educational and artistic advancement of our talented young people in the state of Ohio. The exhibition is open to all of Ohio’s 1,112 high schools, both public and private. Its purpose is to provide all students in the state with opportunities to advance their talent, showcase their work or simply experience the process of entering work in a competition. There are 15 Regions in the state of Ohio. The Central Ohio Area – Region ONE – includes Hilliard City Schools. Over 12,000 works from throughout the state, all 15 regions, are submitted for consideration every year. If a work is selected to represent at the regional level, it is then considered for competition at the state level. There are only 300 pieces from the entire state that can be included in the State Exhibition. The exhibition is a valuable incentive for our young people; it encourages an appreciation for the arts throughout Ohio and reflects the fine quality of art instruction and talent which exist in our state.
Due to the Covid 19 emergency and state wide shut down, there will be no gallery exhibitions this year.
