Hybrid Schedule Next Week
Monday – No School – Labor Day
Tuesday – Group B
Wednesday – Group A
Thursday – Group B
Friday – Group B
We are asking every family to do a home health assessment before sending a student to school. You should first take their temperature. If it’s above 100.4, you need to keep the student home. You should also check for COVID-19 Symptoms and contact your health care provider if you have any symptoms.
Are you receiving our Darby eNews blasts on Friday? If not, make sure your email is up to date on Home Access and/or check your spam folders. It’s the best way to know what’s happening on a weekly basis.
Happy Weekend Birthday
Student drivers need to register their car and have a parking pass by Friday, September 11th. Parking passes are free. To receive a pass, click here to complete the registration questions. Then, pickup your pass in the commons during lunch periods on Wednesday, September 9th or Thursday, September 10th. If you cannot pickup you pass at the time, please come to the main office to pick it up.
If you will be driving later in the year, you will still need to complete the registration questions online to get your pass AFTER you have your driver’s license.
Students are required to park in the lots along Leppert Road. The only exception is for students who attend the ILC. They are permitted to park in the small lot near the Heritage MS baseball fields, on the East side of the building. Students are not permitted to park in front of the building or in the staff lot along the Eastern edge of the building.
Technology Protection Plan
Our practice is that we will accept online payments for TPP through the Friday of the first full week of school. That was Friday, Aug. 28th. We left this open for families through Sunday, August 30th just to catch anyone who missed the deadline.
From this point forward, BEFORE accepting payment from a family/student for TPP for the 2020-2021 school year, the iPad must be inspected in the media center to make sure it is not damaged. Once that has been done the front office will be notified and a $25 fee will be added to your student’s account which can then be paid via MyPaymentsPlus (after 24 hours processing time.) Click here for more information about the Technology Protection Plan.
Service Dog in Building
This year we welcome a student to our building accompanied by a service dog. This service dog is a trained companion for the student and can assist the student in many daily routines while learning at school.
This certified service dog is highly trained and recognized by an accredited training facility. The student’s right to have a certified service dog is protected under the American with Disabilities Act and therefore can be with the handler in all aspects of his/her education.
All students in the building, and especially those in class with the dog, will be informed as to proper procedures around the animal because the animal is not a pet, but a certified working service dog while at school. We anticipate the service dog will be a benefit to the student’s learning and we look forward to this new addition to our school community.
For more information regarding the presence or handling of service dogs, please click here.
PTO meetings will be held remotely via Zoom on the first Tuesday of each month. If you are interested in participating, please email firstname.lastname@example.org to request the meeting information.

What did you do this summer? Head for familiar destinations? Shelter in place in your Hawaiian gear? Practice social distancing at a park. Work yourself silly? Work on DIY projects? Learn to knit? Venture beyond boundaries into the wider world? Share with us!
Week 1 How was going back to school with eLearning?
Sure, we did eLearning in the spring, but we’ve never started the school year this way. Tell us about it!
If you prefer, photos and stories can be emailed directly to email@example.com for use in the yearbook. Please include names and grades of those involved.
