Darby vs. Davidson Food Drive
Between September 3rd-6th Darby students can compete against Davidson by drop off donations in the main office and Media Center. Progress of the challenge will be posted daily on announcements.

The most needed items consist of Granola Bars, small boxes of cereal, and single serve Mac and Cheese cups. All the food is going to support Panthers in need!

Please contact Margaret Lee at DarbyFoodPantry@gmail.com if you have any questions.

College Visits
Attention Juniors & Seniors:

College and University Representatives will be visiting Darby High School beginning September 4th.  We currently have 40 visits scheduled! This is a great opportunity to find out more about specific colleges and get any of your questions answered right here on our campus.

Go into Naviance to view the list of dates and times, and sign up to attend. Most visits will be held in the Guidance Conference Room.  Juniors are permitted 3 visits and Seniors are permitted 5. If you have any questions, see Mrs. Leeka in the Guidance Office.

Costa Rica Trip Meeting
TONIGHT @ 6:30p.m, in room #200, is the final enrollment meeting for the Costa Rica Spring Break 2020 trip.  This meeting is for people interested in learning more about the trip.  Those students that have already signed up do not need to attend.

London to Paris Trip Meeting
Did you know that you could visit London and Paris this year for spring break? Come to an enrollment meeting next Thursday at 7:00 for more information or see Mrs. Kruder in 207 before then!

GSA Meeting
GSA will meet in the Media Center after school on Thursday, September 5. At that meeting, we will decide how to move forward throughout this school year. If you have questions, please see Ms. Griffith or Mr. Lohmann.

Math Club
The first math club meeting of the year will be after school on Friday in room 104.  We will plan this year’s competitions and meeting dates.  If you have any questions, see Mr. Miller in room 104 or Miss Hurley in room 128.

Health Screenings
The Hilliard City School Nurses will be conducting health screenings on selected grade levels in the near future.  Hearing screening is done on kindergarten, first, third, fifth, ninth and eleventh grade students. Vision is performed on grades kindergarten, first, third, fifth, seventh, ninth and eleventh. These are the grades, which the Ohio Department of Health recommends for screening.  If a student fails the first screening, a second screening is done.  If the student then has difficulty, a referral will be mailed to the parent.  Although all screenings are fairly accurate, this is not a substitute for a regular visit to your physician or eye doctor.  If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to call your school nurse.

Athletic Information
Be sure to check out the Hilliard Darby Athletic Department website for important information and schedules throughout the year!
