PSAT & SAT Testing on October 14th
On Wednesday, October 14th, only Seniors taking the SAT and Juniors registered for the PSAT will report to school.
Students taking one of these tests should report to their assigned testing room by 7:40 am, and students will be dismissed after test administration is finished. Busses will run at their normal times, and there will be a limited grab and go breakfast and lunch menu.

Remote Learning for All Students Not Taking SAT or PSAT on October 14
Even though October 14th is a “Group A” hybrid day, all freshmen, all sophomores, and all students who are NOT testing will be in remote learning on October 14.  These students will not be in the building, as they will be learning at home through instruction on Canvas.

Second Semester Intent Forms Coming Soon
As we transition into the second half of the 2020/21 school year, we want to honor our commitment to our families and allow you to decide whether you want to be a part of the Online Academy or go back into our Flexible Learning Modes.

All families will have from October 16 until October 30 to decide if their student/s will attend the Online Academy or our Flexible Learning Modes.  A second semester intent form will be emailed to primary guardians on October 14.  If your student is currently in a building, and you want to continue with that learning mode, you don’t have to do anything.  If you want to enroll, re-enroll, or leave the Online Academy, the primary guardian will need to fill out the Intent form before the deadline for each of your students.

Whichever choice your family makes this will be a commitment for the second half of the 2020/21 year.   There will be more details in the email on the 14.

AP Testing Information
If your student is enrolled in an Advanced Placement (AP) course this year, you should be receiving a letter regarding AP Test registration procedures.  Please register via MyPaymentsPlus.  The registration window is open until October 30th.  Each exam is $95.  Students who receive free/reduced lunch may test for free but must still register in MyPaymentsPlus.  Click here for the AP Exam calendar.

Yearbook
Anyone who still needs to pick up a yearbook can stop by the school on Wednesday, October 14 until 6 p.m. This is parent/teacher conference night. While those conferences will be held on Zoom only, staff will be in the main office to help you get your yearbook until 6 p.m. This is our only planned late-night pick up time.

Other ways to get your yearbook if you are outside the building:
• Make arrangements with a current student or staff member and ask them to pick up a yearbook for you during our lunch distribution.
• Friend, relative, neighbor, we don’t care who picks up the yearbook for you.
• HCSD employees, I can send your book through interschool mail if needed. Let me know.
Whatever the case, please plan on claiming your book as soon as possible; our storage capacity is limited.

Extra 2019-2020 yearbooks will be available for purchase during the lunch handouts and pick up times. We have. limited number of extra books; they are first come, first served. Extra books are $80 each: checks to Hilliard Darby Yearbook or cash.
