Hope Squad Applications
Hope Squad applications are available and can be found in your Class Of Canvas page under “Announcements”. The deadline to turn in your completed application is Friday September 29th. You can email your application to Ms. Skaff or print it out and turn it in to the main office.

Hilliard City Schools is excited to invite you for a special tour of the state-of-the-art Worthington Industries facility, scheduled for October 6 from 9:30 am – 1 pm. This tour will provide the opportunity to learn more about the exciting career paths available at Worthington Industries and the benefits they offer, including medical and dental insurance, a retirement plan, paid college opportunities, and more! Transportation will be provided. If interested, please RSVP to your School Counselor by September 22nd.

Math Club is sponsoring the OCTM State Math Contest this week. You do not need to be a member of math club to compete. There are 40 questions covering high school math through precalculus and statistics. The contest will be Friday in room 104 from 2:45-3:30 pm. Please bring a calculator. We hope to see all interested Mathletes on Friday!

Hispanic Heritage Month – Learn to dance Bachata!

Congratulations Noelle Hampton!
The Darby Art Department would like to congratulate Noelle Hampton on the inclusion of two of her paintings into this year’s Ohio Art Education Association’s Emerging Artist Show. The OAEA High School Show is dedicated to showcasing artistic efforts, recognize talent and provide a professional forum for young people to experience competition, something they will encounter in their college applications, portfolio reviews and future art careers in college. If you would like to see Noelle’s work, and that of other outstanding Ohio high school students, check out the show at the Westerville Public Library until September 23, or at the Ohio Department of Education in October. Congratulations again Noelle!

Intramurals
Intramural Ping Pong is officially underway! Starting Tuesday September 19th, all people interested in participating in ping pong after school are invited to the Media Center after school until 3:30 to participate! There is a variety of skill, so all players welcome! This is a free activity, so no need to bring anything other than yourself! If interested in attending, please see Mr. Meyers in room 155 or Mr. Crawford in room 205. If you have an idea for a new intramural sport to be introduced at Darby, please bring those ideas as well! Look forward to seeing you all on Tuesday!

GSA
Darby’s GSA is teaming up with Heritage’s GSA on Tuesday, September 19th. All are welcome for an open discussion with snacks. Meet outside the Media Center after school and we will walk over as a group. See Miss Reed or Mr. Hall for more information.
