I hope this message finds you well. As we approach the season of giving, I am reaching out to share an incredible opportunity to make a positive impact in our school community. Darby High School is dedicated to creating a supportive and nurturing environment for all students and their families, and we believe that no one should go without the basic necessities.

We are launching a special campaign to enhance our school’s food and clothing pantry, which directly serves students and families facing economic challenges. Many of our school community members are struggling, and your support can make a significant difference in their lives.

By contributing to our pantry, you can help ensure that every student has access to nutritious meals and warm clothing. Your donation will not only provide immediate relief but also contribute to creating a more inclusive and caring community for everyone.

Here’s how you can make a difference:

  1. Monetary Donations: Financial contributions will be used to purchase essential items for the pantry, such as non-perishable food items, hygiene products, and warm clothing.
  2. In-Kind Donations: We also welcome donations of non-perishable food items, gently used clothing, and other essential items. Please see the list of needed items below.  You can drop items off in our main office anytime during the school day.

Hilliard Lynx Field Hockey Club holds annual banquet and hands out awards.
The Hilliard Lynx Field Hockey Club met at Hilliard Station Sixth Grade building on November
9, 2023 to celebrate a successful season and hand out individual awards. The program
included a dinner provided by Carrabba’s Italian Grill and presentations by members of the
club board.

Madison Pucci and Sarah Willbarger (high school coachs) handed
varsity letters to Freshman Madysen Feathers and Megan McEnhill. Followed that by
recognizing Dani Peck (senior), Reese Dodgion (Junior), Audrey Bruntz (Junior) as team
captains. The Lynx high school program supports young woman in grades 9 through 12 with
daily practices and varsity games. While the club is not OHSAA sanctioned, they do play
OHSAA member teams and compete at a high level. Other awards included:
Most Valuable Player (MVP) – Elena Schumacher (Miami University commit), junior
Most Improved Player (MIP) – Tess Willbarger, sophomore
Best Forward – Macie Dixon, junior
Best Midfielder – Dani Peck, senior
Best Defender – Audrey Bruntz, junior
Most Team Spirit – Emma Swartzmiller, sophomore
Lynx Award – Lani Crawford, sophomore

Hilliard Lynx is a field hockey club comprised mainly of athletes from Hilliard City Schools.
Field hockey is not currently a school sport, but the club’s goal is to promote and build a
following that will change this. All local public, private and home school students
are welcome to join the club!
