Important Information for Seniors
Cap and Gown distribution is today!  Any money due to Jostens must be paid in order to receive your items.  If you ordered announcements or other items, those will also be delivered tomorrow.

Any seniors who attend Tolles…there will be a shuttle bus from Tolles to Darby so you can participate.  It will pick you up from Tolles around 9:15 and take you back around 11 am.

The Senior Packet and other important information can be found at http://www.hilliardschools.org/hdb/seniorgraduation-information/.  Please be sure to review this page on a regular basis.  Be sure to print, sign and return the Graduation Participation Verification form!

Graduation is right around the corner.  It is time to double check your records to make sure you have ordered everything needed for graduation this year.  If you have questions about an existing order please contact our official graduation supplier Jostens by calling 1-800-567-8367.   Please place your order ASAP at www.josten.com.

Darby Prom Information
Date:  Saturday, April 27, 2019
Theme:  A Night of a Thousand Lights
Time:  8:00 pm—11:00 pm, there will be a “Mix ‘n Mingle Dessert Hour” from 7:00—8:00 pm which will include desserts and photo ops. (Students only)
Location:  The Exchange at Bridge Park, 6520 Riverside Dr, Dublin
Recommended Dress:  Formal
Ticket Cost: $40 per person

*Students planning to attend with a non-Darby guest are not required to complete a guest permission form; however, all rules and requirements must be agreed upon at the time of ticket purchase. 

Parking at Bridge Park will be free.

After Prom Information
Time:  11:30 pm—2:15 am
Location:  Dave & Busters
Ticket Cost:  $22 (advance ticket sale); $25 (at the door)

The after prom at Dave & Buster’s is being sponsored by the PTO.  It includes unlimited video gaming, appetizers, sodas, and other activities.

Academic & Military Signing Ceremony
Hilliard Darby’s Annual Academic and Military Signing Ceremony will be held on Wednesday, May 1, 2019 at 8:00 am in the PAC.

In order to qualify for this event:

A college or university has offered you at least $5,000 per year (a total of $20,000 over 4 years) in combined scholarships and/or grants over four years of college. Scholarships from community organizations, loans and financial aid do not count.

OR

You have registered to enter a branch of the US Military Service after graduation.

If you have trouble signing into the Google Form, you can pickup a hard copy of the form in the Main Office.

 

PTO
April is a big month for our PTO.  Our next opportunity to make a difference in the Darby community is our monthly Cookie Day this Thursday, April 18.  Donations of 4 dozen individually wrapper store bought or homemade cookies are needed. Please plan to have your donations in the main office by 10:15 am on Thursday.  Volunteers are also needed to assist with the distribution from 10:15 am – 1:00 pm.

We also need volunteers for After Prom on Saturday, April 27 from 11:30 pm to Sunday, April 28 2:30 am on Sunday morning at Dave & Busters.  To sign-up please click here to serve as greeters or monitors.

Please mark your calendars for Teacher and Staff Appreciation Week which Is April 29 through May 3.  Watch for more information and sign ups to come out soon.

And, our next PTO meeting is Monday, May 6 at 6:30 pm in the Hilliard Darby High School Media Center.  This meeting is where we will elect officers for the 2019-2020 school year.  We are looking for parents interested in serving in the roles of President, Vice President, Treasurer, and Secretary.  If you have any questions about any of these positions please let me know.
