Student Cybersecurity Learning Opportunity

The Ohio Attorney General’s Office is hosting a free event for high school students to learn more about cybersecurity. This will take place at Ohio State on September 29, 2018. The program will play out as a “Capture the Flag” type game.

Pieces of information (flags) will be placed on servers, encrypted, hidden, or otherwise stored somewhere difficult to access. During a competition, different challenges are released which allow participants to reverse engineer, break, hack, decrypt, or do whatever it takes to capture the flag.

More details are available on their webpage.

 Innovation Campus Open House

The Innovation Campus will be hosting an open house on September 18th from 6-7pm. All parents and students in the district are welcome to join us to see both the Innovative Learning Center and the new Hub. You will also get to meet the staff, and learn about the programming that is available to all students in grades 7-12.

 Homework Help

The Columbus Metropolitan Library’s Homework Help Centers are now open, offering the students in your family free afterschool help. Find the hours at the Hilliard Branch here.
