This year we welcomed the new Memorial Middle School right next door, and with this has come a line of confused drivers as well. Due to the incoming traffic from Memorial parents, Bradley students have one more thing to worry about. This new driving route for Bradley drivers has been seen in both a positive and negative light. Here are a few of the things student drivers and an assistant principal have to say about it:

Q: What are you most worried about?

“I’m worried about the traffic coming from Memorial because it is a little difficult to contain parent traffic.” Tim Dellapina

Q: What do you need for everyone to do?

“I just want everyone to be patient and respect the school zone.” Mr. Dellipina

Q: How long did it take you to get out of the parking lot?

“Only ten…maybe fifteen minutes.” Kate Walker, (12)

Q: What are you overall thoughts and opinions on this situation?

“For me, it just takes way too long.” Michaela Medich, (12)

“I actually prefer this method because it’s terrible trying to turn left.” Kate Walker, (12)

“Well the middle schoolers don’t drive to school, so why should we change our route for them?” Shriya Rawal, (12)

This new change in driving has been taken differently by students and administrators here at Bradley, but there is always room for improvement. Although some of us are getting used to this different driving route and have both positive and negative views, we have to get used to our new neighbors at Memorial. Hopefully we can all warm up to this new change here at Bradley!
