NHS Applications are open!  If you are a junior or a senior with at least a 3.75 CUMMULATIVE GPA and 45 hours of volunteer service over the last two years, you are eligible to apply for membership in the Bradley Chapter of the National Honor Society. The last day to enroll for the 2019 Spring Break Tour to Italy and Spain is this coming Friday,September 14.  To see everything that is included AND to enroll go to  www.eftours.com/1936666VW

If you prefer, handouts about the tour can be picked up in the front office, Mrs. A-B’s room B256, and Mr. Neuhausel’s room B275.

Keycards:  If you drive to school and have a late in, double lunch block, or ILC at any time during the day, please see Mrs. Kaufman in the Main Office to pick up your keycard.  We still have quite a few of them.

 

Also, even if you don’t drive to the ILC/HUB, you will need a card to get in to those buildings.

If you purchased parking last year and have yet to purchase this year, please do so as soon as possible.  Parking will be added to your fees if not purchased by Friday, September 14.  If you do not drive to school this year, please stop by the Main Office to let us know before September 14.

THE 2017-2018 YEARBOOK HAS ARRIVED!

 

Official yearbook distribution days have ended.  If you did not pick up your yearbook already, please go to room A231 or C287, during period 5, to see the yearbook staff to pick up your book ASAP.  Please avoid going there during other class periods, as Mrs. Abate has academic classes.

 

Bradley Graduates & Current Tolles Students:  Your books are available for pickup in the school’s main office. We ask that you pick up your yearbook before Hilliard’s winter break. The last day of school before winter break is December 21. Another person may pick up your book for you, but he/she must sign for it.

CLUBS

Anyone who was not able to come to the first Diversity Club

meeting, we always take new members.  If you are currently in a sport or extracurricular activity but want to join, we can’t wait to meet you once your sport or extracurricular is finished!

If you plan on being in Diversity Club, stop by Mrs. Thompson’s room 107, at Memorial Middle School, Monday or Tuesday, to sign up so she can add you.  Bradley students feel free to email Mrs. Sherise Thompson, so she can add you if you cannot stop by.

Bradley Key Club will meet Monday, September 17, after school in Rm. C285.  Bring your ideas to decorate the Jag head for our 10th anniversary, your commitment for Paw Pals, and scissors to cut bags to make sleeping mats for homeless people.  See Mrs. Buergel for info.

Attention: People Who Like Math!

Math Club meets every Tuesday after school, from 2:45 until 3:45, in Mrs. Gmerek’s room (A133).  We solve weird and interesting math problems, prepare for local and state-wide math contests, and sometimes we even eat candy.  Anyone who likes math is welcome! You don’t have to be in a certain grade or math class.  Come join in the mathematical fun with us!

 

GUIDANCE OFFICE:

 

Attention College Bound Juniors & Sophomores: The PSAT test will be given on Wednesday, October 10, from 7:40 – 11:00.  This is a great opportunity for you to practice for the SAT, and provides an opportunity to qualify for National Merit Scholarship competition.   Registration is open September 10 through October 5.  The cost is $22.  Register and pay through MyPaymentsPlus. Or you can sign up with Mrs. Barie in the Guidance Office with cash or check written out to Hilliard City Schools.

The Miami University Bridges Program is open for applications.  The overnight experience is for high–achieving seniors from historically underrepresented populations.  There are four separate sessions to pick from in October and November.  Specific details and application can be found atMiamiOH.edu/Bridges.  

Participants that enroll for fall 2019 will be eligible to receive the Bridges Program renewable scholarship.  Deadline to apply is September 24, 2018.

 

In the fall, representatives from various colleges and universities come to Bradley to share information with juniors and seniors.  If you are interested, please sign up through Naviance.  You will receive a pass the morning of the visit to attend.  Limit of 5 visits with deadline of one day in advance to register.  Check this list on Naviance for frequent updates.

ATHLETICS

 

Friday, September 14

Football – The Varsity Football team will host Hilliard Darby.  Kick-off is scheduled for 7:00.  Go Jags!

Saturday, September 15

Football – The JV and Freshman Football teams will travel to Hilliard Darby.  JV are scheduled to kick-off at 9:00, followed by the Freshman at 11:00.

Girls Cross Country – The Girls Cross Country team will travel to Ammans Reservoir to compete in the Galion Invite.

Boys Cross Country – The Boys Cross Country team will travel to Cedarville University to compete in the Friendship Invitational.

Girls Soccer – The JVB Girls Soccer team will travel to Olentangy Orange.  Game time is scheduled for 10:15.

Girls Volleyball – The Varsity Girls Volleyball team will travel to Worthington Kilbourne to compete in a tournament.

Announcements

Football Tickets – Presale tickets for the Bradley vs Darby Football game will be on sale in the Athletic Office today from 9:00-4:00.  Ticket prices are $10.00 for Reserved, $7.00 for Adults and $5.00 for Students.  Get your ticket early to avoid long lines at the gates!  Go Jags!

Football Spirit Shirts – The theme this week is a Black Out and we have some cool Beat Darby T-Shirts to show your spirit.  T-Shirts will be on sale today during lunch periods for $10.00.

Bowling – There will be a parent and athlete meeting for anyone interested in participating in Bowling this Winter on Monday, September 24, in the Auxiliary Commons, at 7:00 pm.

Cheerleading – There will be a meeting/conditioning practice for anyone interested in basketball cheer on Wednesday, September 26, from 3-3:45, on the track.  Be ready to condition, cheer and tumble!  Contact Coach Duckworth if you have any questions!!!
