On Thursday, April 20th, Bradley High School hosted a Career from Here day for current juniors and seniors. During this time, over 30 local companies were here visiting with students. These companies are interested in hiring graduating seniors as well as a few looking for seasonal work or pre-apprenticeships for the summer for current juniors.

Hilliard Bradley held our 1st annual Muffins and Military Celebration on Monday April 17, 2023.

April is considered the Month of the Military Child and it is in this spirit that we honor our military families. On Monday, Bradley military affiliated families came together for our first annual Muffins and Military Celebration. We were excited to celebrate our students who have a military affiliated family member, either active or retired, as well as staff members and our armed forces recruiters at this event.

During this celebration, we had a surprise announcement that Bradley has been awarded the Purple Star School Designation from the Ohio Department of Education. This followed a rigorous, months-long application process documenting our ongoing efforts to uplift our military students and family members. In order to be successful in school and while transitioning between school settings, Ohio’s military connected youth require support to ensure their unique social, emotional, and academic needs are met.  Bradley High School is dedicated to building those bridges and strengthening that foundation. The Purple Star award received today signifies Bradley’s demonstrated commitment to serving these students and families. We are proud to be a part of this Purple Star network across the country.

K-5 Math Curriculum Resource Preview Page

The Hilliard City School District is in the process of adopting a new K-5 Math resource called Imagine Learning Illustrative Math. During the next two weeks, the Board of Education and the community will have the opportunity to preview this new resource. We invite all families and the community to preview Imagine Learning Illustrative Math, and if so desire, use the Feedback Form to provide feedback. Clicking on this link will provide a preview for our families. A sample display of the curriculum resource by grade level will also be available at Central Office on March 27-30 and April 10-14. Visitors may come in person to preview the samples between the hours of 9:00 am-11:00 am and 2:00-4:00 pm.

Bradley HS worked in collaboration with Sgt. Henderson, our United States Air Force recruiter in offering a unique Career Explorations Day for over 60 students last week.

Three airmen came to Bradley HS to conduct a RAP (Recruiter’s Assistance Program). This was an informational session where students had access to recently graduated high schoolers, who shared “real world” experiences and opportunities with the USAF.

The following Career Fields were represented: Bomber Crew Chief (B1-B Bomber), Finance, and one member of the US Space Force (Space Systems Operations). The ASVAB test was discussed, and students had the opportunity to ask questions and investigate the advantages of enlisting and pursuing a “civilian” career under the United States Air Force training and assistance.

Test takers need to arrive at the normal time. Similar to a traditional school day, breakfast will be available in the morning for test takers.

Non-Testers will have a DELAYED start. Lunch starts at 11:40 a.m. and regular classes start at 12 p.m.

On testing days, there will be a brown bag lunch service. Limited brown bag lunch options will be available to students who receive or choose to purchase a school lunch.

Buses will run at their normal times in the AM and PM. If Non-Testers need to ride the bus to school, they will report to the Commons area from 7:40 to 11:40 a.m. for a quiet study hall, then lunch. We suggest making prior arrangements for drop off on this day, if possible.
