It was another great week at Bradley High School. Congratulations to the JV and Varsity Winter Guards who won the Silver medal in their respective classes at the Mid East Performance Association Circuit Championships this past Saturday. This caps off a successful season for both groups, and the first complete season that Bradley has had two guards in competition.

Next Wednesday, ALL current 11th Grade Students will be taking the SAT test. Non-Testers will NOT attend school on this day.  Non-Testers will have a digital day at home.  Students that are not taking the SAT will be assigned classwork from their classroom teachers to be completed at home. Those 11th grade students taking the SAT will be dismissed for the day at the conclusion of the testing period at approximately 12 p.m.  Please make arrangements for pick-up on this day for 12 p.m.  Buses will run on their normal schedule in the AM and PM.

As we wrap up National Assistant Principal week, I would like to take an opportunity to thank Ms. Hueter, Mr. Hamilton and Mr. Walton for all their hard work this school year. It has been amazing working with this team. The care that they show for students, staff and parents is a big piece of what makes Bradley High School special. Thank you for all that you do!

Finally, next week Friday, April 15th Bradley High School will be closed in observance of Spring Day.  I hope everyone has a great weekend and Go Jags!!!

Good Afternoon Jaguar Families,

It is great to have everyone back in the building after spring break. The students did an excellent job of coming back focused to finish this final quarter.

Next week, Bradley High School will begin administering the Ohio State Tests. We will be testing on the following four days: 4/6, 4/19, 4/21 and 4/27. On these four days we will be running a modified schedule to accommodate the four hour testing window that is allotted for students to complete the exams.  During testing times, AP teachers will be running review sessions for non-testing students to help prepare AP students for the upcoming AP exams in May. On the scheduled testing days, we will be running a block schedule in the afternoon. (Click Here) Students will be required to attend periods in which they have academic classes.

Over the past few weeks you have received testing emails with schedules and detailed testing information. We will continue to send these email communications to ensure that there is no confusion about testing days, times and student room locations. Please make sure to discuss the testing schedule with your students prior to the testing days to ensure that all of our students are prepared when they arrive on their testing days.

Have a great weekend and Go Jags!

Teachers Receive Grant to Study Abroad

Hilliard teachers Amanda Schaeffer and Beth Boza were selected for prestigious grants through Fund for Teachers and the Martha Holden Jennings Foundation. With their grants, Boza and Schaeffer will travel to Lisbon and Madrid for two weeks to investigate how street art reflects the voice of their people. From this research, they will help Hilliard students participate in a student-led street art project that focuses on making marginalized voices heard in our local community.

City of Hilliard Seeks Input

The City of Hilliard is seeking input from residents, businesses, and employees to help plan future amenities and development.  The City is in the process of creating its first standalone economic development plan, known as Opportunity Hilliard. The plan will identify strategies to help Hilliard become a hub for business and identify opportunities to enhance the City’s status in the region and nation.

Members of the public are invited to fill out an online survey that asks for feedback on how to best support existing businesses, attract new jobs, and make Hilliard a destination.  Questions also focus on transportation, housing, and parks to address the City’s Hilliard by Design Comprehensive Plan update, which is taking place concurrently with Opportunity Hilliard.

You can click this link to learn more and take part in the survey.

Canvas Help

Parents can access their student’s Canvas courses through a web browser like Chrome, Safari, Firefox and/or Edge. If you would prefer to use the Canvas app, be sure you download and use the STUDENT Canvas app, not the Parent Canvas app. A browser allows for a much richer experience as a Parent Observer. In addition, we have already linked your Home Access user name and password to your student’s courses.  There is a Parent Canvas Course that can walk you through how to use Canvas better.  You can access the course by clicking here.

There are also other parent resources on our Parent University page, including College Planning, Home Access help and more.

Good Afternoon Jaguar Families,

Today is the start of Spring Break. The office at Hilliard Bradley High School will be closed from 3/21/22-3/25/22 for spring break. Our regular office hours will resume on Monday, March 28.

I would like to say thank you to all of the parents that had an opportunity to come out and support our choir students this week. The students did a great job in their performance.

Finally, I would like to recognize and congratulate our Jaguar alumni Braden and Keaton Norris as they represent Loyola Chicago and Wright State in the NCAA basketball tournament this weekend. This is an amazing accomplishment for the Norris family and the Jaguar basketball program. We wish them the best of luck.

Have a great weekend and a wonderful break. Go Jags!
