Bradley eNews – December 10, 2021

Good Afternoon Jaguar Families,

Next week Bradley High School will be operating on our semester exam schedule Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.  Please be sure to check the schedule so you are aware of the changes that will be made to our normal daily procedure.

Notes:

-Students are not required to be here if they do not have an exam on a particular day.

-Students are not required to be here until their scheduled exam.

-Students are not required to stay after the last exam of the day.  Students will be allowed to leave after the last exam of the day at 11:00am.  If students exit the building after 11:00am, they will not be allowed to re-enter unless approved by the administration.

-Lunch will be provided to all students from 11:00am-12:00pm on exam days.

-Buses will run on our normal schedule.  If students ride the bus in the afternoon, they have a couple of options:

  1. From 12:00-2:32pm, they can attend a scheduled review session with their teacher(s)
  2. Sit quietly in the commons, where they will be monitored by our study hall staff and hall monitors. Students will not be allowed to enter the academic hallways after 12:00pm unless they are in a class review session or making up an exam.

Tuesday, December 14th and Wednesday, December 15th beginning at 7:00pm, Bradley High School will be hosting its annual Winter Fest in the performing arts center. During Tuesday night’s event the Bradley High School Art Department will also be hosting its winter art show and Ceramics Sale from 6-8 in the Bradley Art Hallway.

Finally, next Friday will be the last official day of school for students before we begin winter break.

Have a great weekend and Go Jags!

Counselor News – December 2021

The School Counseling Department is working on recruiting for our second semester senior workforce opportunities and realize the importance of parent nominations/input to ensure no student falls through the cracks who may be great!

You may already be familiar with the Worthington Industries program.  We have expanded our partnerships, and the programs we are looking to match students with include:

Worthington Industries-manufacturing steel/cylinders

RT Moore-commercial plumbing/HVAC

EcoPlumbers-repair and installation plumbing

Rosati Windows-installation/contracting

We are focusing on seniors but will take names of juniors.  The opportunities we are working on are skilled trades with lots of opportunities for future advancement and even college tuition to be paid for if the student decides later to attend college.

If you know of a student who might be interested in one of these programs please contact the school counseling office.
