Everyone loves a celebration and food is often an integral piece of that party puzzle. The Wellness Committee would like to offer some alternatives to having just “sweet treat” parties while in the classroom. Moderation is the key and we can find a healthy balance by providing fruit or vegetables along with cupcakes or cookies at our celebrations
As always, it is important to check with the classroom teacher about appropriate items, time constraints, and allergy concerns. Don’t forget, including some physical activity with these special days is also a “sweet treat”.
