Director of Technology Rich Boettner has a blog to keep the community aware of what’s happening in the world of technology. This is where results of the Technology Task Force findings are posted. He is also posting videos about how technology is used in classrooms already. This week he spotlights Lisa Braun, a teacher at Hilliard Davidson who is using iPads to help students learn Spanish. Community members are invited to the Dedication and Open House of the first educational center of its kind in Central Ohio. The McVey Innovative Learning Center (MILC) offers a variety of cutting edge coursework, experiences and teacher support in a cost-effective manner. Specifically it allows some of the district’s existing programs to be centralized and to expand other options such as after school enrichment, college guidance services and capstone experiences to better meet the needs of today’s students.
